Trivia: At Davidson College, was a two-time Southern Conference Player of the Year and set scoring records for both school and conference. Also set the NCAA record for three-pointers made in a season. Was the seventh pick in the 2009 NBA Draft. Won the NBA Championship with the Warriors in 2015 and was the league MVP. Set an NBA record for wins in a season with the Warriors in 2016. Played on the U.S. gold-medal winning World Cup teams in 2010 and 2014. Broke his own single-season three-point record, with 402, in 2016. Was the first player unanimously voted for MVP, in 2016. Is a spokesman for President Obama's Malaria Initiative and also supports the United Nations Foundation's Nothing But Net s campaign.

Birthplace: Beirut, Lebanon
Trivia: Was a ball boy for UCLA men's basketball in 1978 and 1979. Father Malcolm was an academic who taught in the Middle East and was assassinated—apparently by Islamic militants—in West Beirut in 1984. Played at Arizona from 1983 to '88, and started at point guard for the Wildcat team that went to the Final Four in 1988. Played on the last all-amateur U.S. basketball team to win a World Championship in 1986. Was a second-round draft pick by the Phoenix Suns in the 1988 NBA Draft. Played for six teams in a 15-year NBA career. Won five NBA Championships, including four in a row. Retired in 2003 as the NBA's three-point percentage leader for career and a single season. Hired by TNT as an NBA analyst in 2003. Also did commentary for Yahoo. Was a member of a group working to buy the Phoenix Suns in 2004. Became the general manager and president of basketball operations for the Suns in 2007. In 2010, left his job with the Suns and returned to TNT for an analyst position.

Trivia: Made the All-Pac-10 First Team 2004. Majored in Education at the University of Arizona. Was the ninth overall pick in the 2004 NBA Draft by the Philadelphia 76ers. Was part of the NBA All-Rookie Team in 2005. Won gold as part of Team U.S.A. at the 2010 FIBA World Championships in Turkey. Played on the NBA All-Star Team in 2012. Has been active in charitable efforts including raising money for tornado victims in his hometown of Springfield, IL, and book donations for schools in Philadelphia.
