The documentary tells the story of Richard Davis. Facing bankruptcy, Davis decides to abandon his pizzeria and create a radical invention, the bulletproof vest. To prove that his invention works, he shoots himself one hundred and ninety-two times. After launching his body armor company, Davis rose to fame but soon stirred up controversy after his vest failed during a police operation.
