Yannick Bisson (Actor) .. William Murdoch
Born: May 16, 1969
Birthplace: Montreal, Quebec, Canada
Trivia: Born in Montreal, but lived in Florida and Texas until he was 13 and moved to Toronto. Featured in a series of commercials for Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. Daughters Brianna and Dominique have each appeared in episodes of their father's Murdoch Mysteries series. Was involved in the design of the suits his Victorian-era detective character wears in Murdoch Mysteries. Volunteers with Sheena's Place, a support center for people with eating disorders.
Helene Joy (Actor) .. Dr. Julia Ogden
Born: October 21, 1973
Birthplace: Perth, Western Australia, Australia
Trivia: Has been acting since she was a teenager, and after college was a member of Sydney-based Bell Shakespeare and the Melbourne Theatre Company in addition to working in Australian TV, but moved to Canada in the late 1990s to pursue greener pastures. Mother worked in real estate in Australia, and, due to the fickle nature of show business, also obtained her real-estate license there in the mid-2000s. Accolades include Best Performance by an Actress in a Continuing Leading Dramatic Role for Durham County at the 23rd Gemini Awards, which recognize achievements in Canadian TV, in 2008. Made her Canadian stage debut in 2012 in a revival of Andrew Bovell's Speaking in Tongues (1996), which she had seen in its original incarnation in Australia after she got out of acting school.

Trivia: Best known as a distinguished thespian -- an actor with an aura of earnest authority about him -- Nigel Bennett actually held the status of a multihyphenate, prolifically working as not merely an actor, but an author, director, and occasional producer as well. In terms of dramatic roles, Bennett cultivated the majority of his professional experience on the British stage in a host of productions, including The Country Wife, Loot, Hamlet, and Art to name merely a handful. After a decade and a half spent in this arena, Bennett relocated to Canada in 1986 and shifted gears to focus on film and television work, frequently though not always essaying character roles. The many filmed projects in which Bennett appeared include the Gene Hackman/Anne Archer thriller The Narrow Margin (1990), the Anthony Hopkins/Aidan Quinn epic western Legends of the Fall (1994), and the direct-to-video sci-fi thriller Darkman III: Die Darkman Die (1996). In 2007, Bennett both produced and signed for a supporting role in the Chaz Thorne-helmed black comedy Just Buried (2007).
Michael Seater (Actor) .. James Gillies
Born: January 15, 1987
Birthplace: Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Trivia: As a kid, responded to an open casting call for the part of Chip in a stage production of Beauty and the Beast, but lost out because he was too large for the tea trolley. Cowrote (with his brother, Graham) an episode of Life With Derek.
