Huey Long
Huey P. Long (1893-1935), the Louisiana political kingpin who was known as "The Kingfish." Long served as governor and U.S. senator simultaneously in 1931 and '32. He was assassinated while preparing to challenge FDR in the 1936 Presidential race.
