Episode 1 - Road to the RunwayTim Gunn introduces everyone to the eighteen new designers who will be competing against each other on Project Runway Season 13. He also teases the fact that one of three former designers, chosen strictly by the fans, will be rejoining the competition this season. |
Episode 2 - The Judges DecideIn the season premiere we meet 18 new designers as they arrive in NYC and face one final audition in front of the judges. After three designers are cut right away, the remaining 15 are asked to design a spring look from fabrics they are given. Amanda Valentine, from season 11, returns as the "fan favorite" and 16th designer. |
Episode 3 - Unconventional Movie Nite!The designers are excited when they are taken to a movie theatre for their next challenge, but nerves set in when Tim explains they will be working in teams...with unconventional materials! In groups of three, the designers must create a cohesive collection using items that would normally be found in a movie theatre. |
Episode 4 - Welcome To The FutureIn celebration of Marie Claire's 20th anniversary, the designers are asked to make a look that could be worn twenty years in the future in the magazine. The catch? They have to look to the past...20 years to be exact, for inspiration. |
Episode 5 - A Suitable TwistAfter a field trip to Red Robin, the designers are challenged to take an all-American staple, a men's suit, and transform it into a high fashion women's look. The suits they are given are from all different fashion eras, and the winner of the last challenge is asked to choose for the rest of the competitors. |
Episode 6 - The Klum of DoomHeidi asks the designers to create a red carpet look that she could wear to the Creative Arts Emmys. When Heidi is less than pleased in the workroom, she tells most of the designers to start over. On the Runway, two designers are eliminated. |
Episode 7 - Rock The WeddingFor the second Team Challenge of the season, the designers work in pairs to create looks that could be worn for a "nontraditional wedding." They must design one look for the ceremony, and one for the reception. Dita Von Teese introduces the challenge and serves as guest judge. |
Episode 8 - Priceless RunwayWith the help of Chopard, the designers are asked to create an extravagant eveningwear piece inspired by jewelry of their choosing. They also draw inspiration from the Charles James exhibit at the MET, and Tim decides to use his "Tim Gunn Save" on one designer. |
Episode 9 - The RainwayInspired by the latest Samsung Curved TV, the designers are asked to create avant-garde pieces that look good from every angle. The twist? The pieces also have to walk the Runway...in the rain! The designers have two days to put together a look that can wow the judges and withstand a "Rainway." |
Episode 10 - American Girl DollAfter a field trip to the American Girl Store, the designers are asked to create a modern look for a young girl, inspired by the "Beforever" American Doll collection. The designers work with young girls as their models for this challenge. |
Episode 11 - Muse On The StreetFor the Mary Kay Challenge, the designers are asked to find a complete stranger on the street to act as their muse (and model) for a makeover. The real women are given a makeup consult, new haircut, and new outfit. One designer runs into trouble with a zipper before the Runway, which leads to a controversial decision. |
Episode 12 - Highest BidderThe designers are taken to a large warehouse and told that for their next challenge, they will have to bid on storage units in order to obtain their materials. The designers work in teams of two to make a two-piece cohesive collection from the materials they buy. On the second day of their two-day challenge, Tim presents the designers with the task of designing one more look. |
Episode 13 - Fashion Week: Who's In and Who's OutThe designers are asked to create a "Street Chic" look inspired by a trip around NYC, courtesy of Lexus. They are also thrown a twist...to redesign one of the "losing looks" this season, and their sewing helper is a previously eliminated designer. |
Episode 14 - Finale Part 1Fashion week is just around the corner, but not before the designers are surprised with a trip to Rome, courtesy of Best Western. The designers join Tim in a trip of a lifetime, where they gain inspiration for their collections. Later, Tim visits each of the designers at home to check on their progress. The designers then return to NYC and present a preview of their collection to the judges. |
Episode 15 - Finale Part 2The moment that our designers have been waiting and hoping for since the very beginning, the opportunity to show at New York Fashion Week, has finally arrived. With only four competitors remaining, who will ultimately have what it takes to win Project Runway? |
Episode 16 - Reunion SpecialAll of the designers reunite one last time to discuss their experiences on Project Runway together, settle any last feuds that still exist in the group, and reminisce about their time on this season. Tim Gunn hosts. |
