Episode 501 - On the Street

Cagney and Lacey investigate the beating of a teenage runaway who has shunned her family's wealth and instead has been living and working on the streets as a hooker. The detectives must try and convince her to help convict her pimp.

Cagney and Lacey are brought in when a lottery jackpot is being claimed by multiple people. They must decide who has the real ticket and whose winning ticket is actually counterfeit. Meanwhile, Lacey and Harvey prepare for an IRS audit.

Cagney is branded as a coward after a robbery suspect is able to elude her during a chase. She is suspended from duty, leaving Lacey to clear her name. Meanwhile, Cagney's brother Brian visits from California and checks in on their father.

While Lacey is on maternity leave, Cagney is assigned a controversial new partner who's past of turning in other cops who have participated in illegal activity makes the rest of the 14th precinct question how long he will stay among them.

While Lacey is on maternity leave, she becomes involved in investigating a neighborhood hit-and-run accident. Meanwhile, Cagney is forced to face her relationship to alcohol after a DWI case comes in while she is working the late shift.

While investigating a series of muggings of disabled persons, Cagney gets a first-hand look at the problems they face and becomes romantically involved with a man who is handicapped and advocating for change.
Episode 516 - Family Connections

Cagney has to rush to Lacey's side at the hospital, hoping that she can make it before the baby is delivered. Being around Lacey and her family makes Cagney have second thoughts about her life as a singleton. Cagney's father has a new girlfriend.

Cagney becomes involved in a case where a West Point cadet is charged with possession of cocaine and is refusing to help himself due to his honor code. Meanwhile, Lacey's father pays her a visit after a 30-year absence.

Cagney and Lacey receive a second opportunity to nail a notorious narcotics dealer as Petrie and Isbecki go "off-Broadway" to pursue a murder case. Also starring Al Waxman as Lt. Bert Samuels.

Cagney and Lacey investigate the gangland-style murder of a highly respected union leader, making everyone question why a man with a spotless record would be murdered in the first place. Also starring Al Waxman.
Episode 524 - Parting Shots

Detective Jonah Newman is gunned down in front of his fellow detectives who must find the killer while coming to grips with the loss of their colleague and the danger of their jobs. Starring Sharon Gless and Tyne Daly.
