Paul and Jamie are stupefied when her luckless sister Lisa takes their dim-witted dog, Murray, out for a walk, and returns with another hound on the leash.

Paul takes a night off from filming so that he and Jamie can have a romantic evening together, but constant interruptions from the phone and neighbours spoil their lovemaking.

Paul's father has a heart attack, and while Paul goes to the hospital, Jamie offers to stay with his mother to see if they can build bridges and try to get on with one another.

Paul's absence makes Jamie's heart grow fonder when he is hired to shoot a documentary in Chicago for six weeks, and only able to fly home to New York on the weekends.

Fran tells Jamie that she may be pregnant. Ira tells Paul he's got someone pregnant, but there are lots of misunderstandings until the truth is revealed.

Paul invests in a virtual reality company. At first Jamie doesn't approve, but when she tries the technology out she finds she likes a virtual Paul that always agrees with her.

During their annual Valentine's Day re-enactment of his proposal at the Rockefeller Centre ice rink, the Buchmans are transported back three years.
Episode 17 - S2 EP17 Instant Karma

Paul's convinced they'll have bad luck because Jamie didn't return a shirt she accidentally acquired. She gets rid of it, and their luck changes.
Episode 18 - S2 EP18 The Tape

Jamie and Paul are horrified to discover that Paul has unwittingly handed over a revealing homemade video to the Family Network, instead of a documentary about a zoo.
Episode 19 - S2 EP19 Love Letters

Jamie and Paul find some love letters written by a previous tenant, and uncover a love story from WWII which Jamie feels is similar to her relationship with Paul.

Paul and Jamie find themselves in the middle of an argument between their mothers and even Murray is suffering.
Episode 21 - S2 EP21 Disorientation

As Jamie nervously prepares to return to school, Paul realises that he has forgotten to send her registration forms.
Episode 22 - S2 EP22 Storms We Cannot Weather

Paul agrees to go with Jamie on a blind date with Nick and Fran. He then discovers that Mark, Fran's ex-husband, is back in town and working in their local restaurant.
Episode 23 - S2 EP23 Up All Night

Jamie can't sleep because she drank four cups of coffee while revising for a test, so Paul stays up with her and they have a romantic adventure in their apartment building.
Episode 24 - S2 EP24 With This Ring (Part 1)

The day before Paul and Jamie's anniversary, Paul loses his wedding ring. Paul meets Mark, who's into Zen and helps him concentrate so he can remember where he lost it.
Episode 25 - S2 EP25 With This Ring (Part 2)

It's Jamie and Paul's anniversary, and throughout the celebrations people keep asking when they are going to have children. Seeing a baby makes Jamie broody.
