Episode 2 - You're Dead After SchoolFox's jilted boyfriend threatens to beat Mark up after school. Mark desperately asks Pop to teach him to fight. Mike Sr learns he is making less at the station than his son and Mary pushes him to demand a raise.

Episode 3 - Feast or FamineWhen the school hosts a 24-hour-famine, Mark is determined to raise the most money. However, he soon learns that charity begins at home when Fox opens up to him. Meanwhile, the refrigerator breaks at the Critch house, forcing the family to cook all their food at once.

Episode 4 - Beer NecessitiesTo impress Fox, Mark heads off school grounds for lunch with her brothers. Things take a turn for the worse, when the older boys challenge Mark to drink his first beer. Meanwhile, Mary takes a job selling Avon products.

Episode 7 - The Perfect StormWhen an ice-storm causes a city-wide blackout, the Critch family is forced to sit and talk to each other. Mark learns things about his parents he never knew before. Meanwhile, when his father's back goes out, Mike Jr has to broadcast all night alone.

Episode 8 - Spirit WeekThe kids are allowed to wear jeans at school for Spirit Week. The only problem is that Mark doesn't own a pair. Meanwhile, Sister Rose picks Mary to join her choir.

Episode 9 - European VacationMark feels the school trip to France is the perfect location to woo Fox and win her back. His dreams are dashed, however, when he finds out what the nuns actually mean by ‘France'. Meanwhile, Pop uses the trip to revisit his past life as a bootlegger with Al Capone.

Episode 10 - Old Friends New FriendsA regional science fair opens Mark and Ritche up to kids from other schools. The boys both fall for girls from other schools but decide to pretend to be Protestants to win them over. Meanwhile, Pop meets up with an old flame at a retirement home.

Episode 11 - Pope VisitMark is too sick to go see the Pope at an outdoor mass. For the first time in his life he finds himself 'faking healthy.' Meanwhile, a rival radio station tries to tempt Mike Jr away from VOCM, breaking Mike Sr's heart.

Episode 12 - Details Are ScantyWhen Fox's father gets arrested, Mark lobbies his father not to report on the crime. Meanwhile, Pop and Mary steal cable with a descrambler.

Episode 13 - Halley's CometMark is excited to see the once in a lifetime visit of Halley's Comet. But the magic of the event is lost when he learns of Fox's family news. Meanwhile, a new restaurant being built next to the house threatens to change the Critch's landscape forever.
