Episode 1 - Episode 1Journalist Cal McCaffrey is sent to investigate the suspicious death of Sonia Baker, political aide and lover of married MP Stephen Collins.

Episode 2 - Episode 2The Metropolitan Police put DCI Bell on the investigation of DI Brown's murder. He knows Della is withholding information and is determined to find out what she and Cal know.

Episode 3 - Episode 3DCI Bell grills Cal but he won't reveal his sources. If it appears that Cal has the information the hitman wants, Della will be in less danger. They hope to smoke the hitman out, and Cal agrees to be the pawn.

Episode 4 - Episode 4Stephen confronts Anne and Cal about their affair. He can't believe they would betray him in this way, but Anne stands her ground.

Episode 5 - Episode 5Stephen's desperation leads him to Cal's door who reveals that Sonia must have been planted in his office. Stephen remains adamant that this isn't possible - only his secretary Greer was involved in her appointment.

Episode 6 - Episode 6Cal travels up to Manchester in the early hours of the morning to see Anne. He doesn't know how things are going to turn out, but he thought she deserved a head's up.
