Episode 4 - SolaceThe crew of the Nathan James discovers that the hospital ship USNS Solace was sent to sea to wait for Dr. Scott's cure. Captain Chandler sees an opportunity to add another ship to their fleet while Rachel is eager to find a lab better equipped to replicate the vaccine. When the Solace fails to respond to their radio communications, however, Chandler and his team board the ship...where they come face-to-face with an unexpected enemy. |
Episode 5 - AchillesWith a small group of survivors from the Solace in tow, Chandler and his crew square off against an enemy of the most dangerous kind – a nuclear-powered submarine led by rogue British naval officers, Sean and Ned Ramsey. XO Slattery interrogates a captured mercenary from the hospital ship in an effort to extract information on the sub and its mission. As the Nathan James engages in a perilous game of cat-and- mouse, the truth about the mercenary sub unfolds. |
Episode 6 - Long Day's JourneyHell-bent on avenging the destruction of the labs, Chandler tracks the Immunes to Northern Florida. Meanwhile, Rachel comes across a secret formula that her mentor, Dr. Hunter, had been perfecting before the Immunes murdered him. The formula holds the promise of mass producing and disturbing the cure, but is incomplete. Venturing further inland, Chandler's team locates an Immune compound under the control of Sean and Ned. The Captain quickly realizes the Ramseys are not just leading the sub – they're controlling Immune populations on land, making them a more terrifying foe than initially thought. |
Episode 7 - Alone and UnafraidWhile XO Slattery struggles to evade the sub in the water, Chandler and the land team infiltrate the Immune compound. Danny poses as one of Ned's workers and discovers that Niels, a.k.a. Patient Zero (recurring guest star Ebon Moss-Bachrach), is now working for the Ramseys. Meanwhile, Captain Chandler manages to encroach on Sean's inner circle, which includes an important government official, Jeffrey Michener (guest star Mark Moses). Has Michener been brainwashed by the Immune propaganda along with the rest of the camp? Or can he be an ally? |
Episode 8 - Safe ZoneStill trying to piece together Dr. Hunter's lost formula, Rachel grapples with the fact that her sworn enemy, Niels Sorensen, is now on board the Nathan James, while Captain Chandler works to gain intel and reverse the brainwashing that Michener suffered at the hands of the Ramseys. |

Carlton Burk (series regular Jocko Sims) stumbles upon a gang of children who have been offered a bounty by the Immunes for information on the U.S. Navy. A vicious battle ensues when the Immunes come to collect their prisoners. Back on the ship, Rachel's efforts to produce a spreadable cure depend on Niels — her success now inextricably linked to the scientist who nearly erased mankind. |
Episode 10 - Friendly FireRachel is hard at work on a new, more efficient version of the cure, while Alisha (series regular Christina Elmore) decodes a message found on a cell phone recovered from the Immunes on land. At the same time, a suspicious death on the ship forces Chandler to launch a murder investigation — causing dissent among the crew and threatening to upset the ship's order and discipline. Armed with new information provided by Michener, the Nathan James heads to New Orleans, only to find that the Immunes have a terrifying surprise in store for them there. |
Episode 11 - ValkyrieWhen Sean Ramsey broadcasts a message implicating the Navy in a devastating disaster, it becomes more important than ever for Chandler to infiltrate their network and regain the trust of the American people. Once the Nathan James locates the source of the Immunes' signal, however – a mysterious oil platform in the middle of the ocean – Chandler and his team are forced to engage in a brutal battle with civilian forces who have aligned themselves with the Ramseys' plan. |
Episode 12 - Cry Havoc! After retrieving the mastermind behind the Immune communications network, the Nathan James finds itself trapped between the sub and civilian blockades set up by the Immunes. Chandler sends Dr. Scott and the cure off the ship under the protection of XO Slattery as the James heads towards its inevitable final showdown with the sub. |
Episode 13 - A More Perfect UnionWith their mission now fully dedicated to spreading the cure, the Nathan James puts a call out to civilians to meet at pre-selected ports across the country, where all will receive the cure. However, small Immune factions remain active in their quest to fight the cure and fulfill Ramsey's dreams. In the second season finale, the Nathan James works to regain America's trust.
