Episode 1 - Episode 1When body parts start to get washed up on marshland, DCI Jessie James and DI Sunny Khan are brought in to investigate. Their first job is to identify the body but as they do, the lives of those people linked to the case are starting to unravel.

Episode 2 - Episode 2Sunny and Jessie continue their investigation into the death of an ex-pub landlord, whose wife claims had apparently borrowed money from dangerous loan sharks not long before his death. But the police think his wife is hiding something, and their enquiries put doubts on her story.

Episode 3 - Episode 3The detective team further their investigations into Gerard Cooper's life and discover he wasn't the clean living man his widow portrayed him as. They discover he had extreme right wing views, clashed with those who wanted to remain in the EU and cheated his staff out of money owed during the pandemic.

Episode 4 - Episode 4Various suspects start to come out of the woodwork as Gerard Cooper's extreme right wing views become more apparent to the police. They have concerns that his marriage was toxic and coercive, so his widow is under suspicion, but so is a young translator who clashed with Cooper over tenants' rights, and a man who's father died when Cooper's vaccine conspiracy theories led to him refusing the injection.

Episode 5 - Episode 5Jessie's home life is falling apart as her husband finally confesses to several affairs. The investigation into Gerard Cooper's murder improves as they gain evidence on Marty, Asif and Melinda, all of whom had lied about their connections with Gerard.

Episode 6 - Episode 6Jessie and Sunny are getting closer to discovering the truth about Gerard's death with Marty, Miranda and Juliet still under suspicion. But as their stories are finally heard in full, the police realise there is an even sadder truth behind the man's death.
