Queens of the Qing Dynasty

Intense interactions evolve between a neurodivergent, suicidal teen and the genderqueer caregiver charged with keeping her alive. Star has attempted to take her life again, and An is in charge of making sure she doesn't do any more self-harm. In doing so, they and Star develop a bond over their mutual need to be cared for, even as Star faces a life of mental institutions for her inability to demonstrate that she can take care of herself.
