Against Carolyn's wishes, Anna seeks the help of Sir Richard to get a publishing contract. Jack asks Carolyn to marry him. |
Episode 3 - When You're SmilingAsh Park prepares for the visit of the prime minister and his wife in support of George's election campaign. Sarah is turned away from the school after being told that parents are complaining about her communist sympathies. Olivia returns to Ash Park, and James begins to learn how to relax in public with Henry. |
Episode 4 - Home to RoostOn the day of the prime minister's visit to Ash Park, Regina is in her element making preparations, and George is happy to make a speech to his supporters gathered at the gates. Sarah, knowing that she would not be welcome, awaits Harry at Inverness hospital from his transfer from Sydney. Meanwhile, Elizabeth has to time her return home with military precision. |
Episode 5 - Happy Days Are Here AgainAfter the family conference at which George has firmly told them of his wishes, he immediately drives to Sarah to inform him of his long-term plans to divorce Regina and marry her. Elizabeth has a brainwave of how to ruin Regina's reputation, but she needs Sarah's and Anna's help. |
Episode 6 - The Trouble With HarryElizabeth suggests that James spends a few days in Sydney with Henry before it becomes impossible because of the impending election. Olivia agrees to James's departure and takes the opportunity to confront Harry, who is staying at Roy Briggs's farm. Meanwhile, Regina is plotting against Sarah with Sergeant Taylor and arranges a meeting in Sydney with the fiance of the late Milly Davis. |
Episode 7 - You're Just in LoveHarry notices that Sarah is being followed, so Roy questions Gordon when he finds him waiting outside the hospital. The family makes arrangements for travelling to Canberra for George's investiture as an MP, and Regina asks Sergeant Taylor to visit her in Sydney to make a personal report. |
Episode 8 - There'll Be Some Changes MadeCarolyn and Jack visit Douglas on their honeymoon and learn that Sir Richard is up to his dirty tricks in persuading donors to cease funding the refuge for retired servicemen. Episode 11 - Catch the TigerHaving finally been convinced of Regina's duplicity, George warns Elizabeth to be careful of giving the game away. James takes Harry to a private party in Sydney but Henry is furious. Roy continues to act as Sarah's protector and is on hand when Gordon Walsh comes calling. |
Episode 12 - All Good ThingsSarah is warned by Carolyn that Regina has escaped her intended incarceration in an asylum and to be on guard, but Sarah believes her to be long gone. Elizabeth is exasperated with Rose, who refuses to divulge her mistress's whereabouts. |
