Episode 1 - TrailerSeries 5 of ‘Escape to the Chateau’ follows the adventures of Dick and Angel Strawbridge as they continue to bring their magical 19th Century, 45-room chateau back to life.

Episode 2 - In the AtticThe Chateau’s 19th-century attic and its forgotten contents have always been a source of inspiration for Angel; now she is keen to transform an attic room into a stunning studio where she can design as well as store her vintage treasures. To bring her plans to life Angel and Dorothy go on a mother-daughter trip to Paris, Dick meanwhile has his own ideas for re-purposing historical finds in the Chateau’s outbuildings.

Episode 3 - Parkour & TurretIt’s Summer and Angel has her sights set on the Chateau’s second pepper- pot turret. With stunning views across the walled garden, Angel takes her design inspiration from flowers, fruits, and vegetables to create a series of rooms bursting with beauty. But all is not as it seems because amidst the wildflowers, bespoke wallpaper and copper bath, lies a secret.

Episode 4 - Peak SummerThe heat is on for Dick and Angel. It’s the height of Summer, middle of school holidays, peak wedding season and not all is going to plan. With the thermometer regularly hitting 90 degrees the wedding cakes are melting. Dick has an ingenious solution but unfortunately, it involves channeling through the chateau’s three feet thick walls.

Episode 5 - Cafe GrandmaThe busy wedding season has come to an end so Dick and Angel have a moment to get organised ahead of winter. For Dick, this means ploughing up the wildflower meadow in front of the Orangery, which unfortunately for him, doesn’t go down too well with Angel.

Episode 6 - Harvest TimeThe golden light of autumn has fallen on the Chateau, and over in the Walled Garden, the year’s abundant crop continues. The Strawbridge family is harvesting their multitude of pumpkins and squash and even after filling three barrow loads there’s still time, and energy, for a family wheelbarrow race.

Episode 7 - Christmas SpecialAfter another very busy year, Dick and Angel prepare for Christmas at Chateau de la Motte-Husson. This year Dick and Angel are hosting a Christmas party for all the people who help them at the Chateau. There’s an exquisite festive menu, complete with home-made wines & produce harvested from Dick and Angel’s walled garden. And of course, Christmas wouldn’t be complete without a Christmas tree. And, just like the Chateau itself, this one is on a grand scale.

Episode 101 - Restoring the DreamIn the first of these special episodes, we hear from Dick and Angel how they overcame the scale of the renovation of their fairytale chateau to turn it into a home for them and their very young family. We look back at the depths of their first winter in France, and Dick's genius solutions being put to the test installing the plumbing. We see one of their most daring ideas to date - the state of the art lift, and follow Dick as he finds a solution to the perennial dilemma of restoring the 150 year old roof.

Episode 102 - Designing the DreamTonight we celebrate Angel’s exquisite creativity as Dick and Angel give their inside take on how they went about designing the Chateau into a magical home and fairy tale wedding venue.

Episode 103 - The Great OutdoorsIn this special episode we look back at how five years ago, the abandoned walled garden stole Dick and Angel’s hearts. Dick and Angel recount the moment they took their very first steps.
