Episode 1 - The Sharpshooter

Lucas and Mark decide to enter a local turkey shoot to raise money to buy a ranch.
Episode 2 - Home Ranch

Cattle baron Oat Jackford orders his two cowboys to run Lucas McCain and his son off their ranch.
Episode 3 - End of a Young Gun

When Mark gets caught on a mountain ledge, a young outlaw risks his life to rescue him and breaks his leg doing so.
Episode 4 - The Marshal

The notorious Shelton's ride into the town of North Fork to take revenge on an elderly Marshal who is now crippled and working for Lucas McCain.
Episode 5 - The Brother-In-Law

Johnny Gibbs, Lucas McCain's brother-in-law, visits the McCain ranch. Gibbs, a rodeo rider wanted by the law, begins stirring up trouble.
Episode 6 - Eight Hours to Die

A vengeful judge who believes Lucas was responsible for his son's death, kidnaps Mark McCain to revenge himself on Lucas.
Episode 7 - Duel of Honor

A handsome Italian count arrives in North Fork. The town bully ridicules his manner of speech and dress and provokes the Count to challenge him to a duel. Lucas, who has befriended the Count, is asked to serve as his second.
Episode 8 - The Safe Guard

A new bank opens in North Fork and Banker Hamilton hires a brawny, slow-witted gunman to guard the safe. When some of the gunman's old outlaw friends arrive in town they propose he join them in robbing the bank. Lucas is called upon to prevent the robbery.
Episode 9 - The Sister

When Mark tries to play Cupid between Lucas and a pretty young stranger who arrives in North Fork, the girl's two older brothers accuse him of trifling with her affections and challenge him to fight them both.
Episode 10 - New Orleans Menace

Arch-criminal Tiffauges has been run out of New Orleans and is passing through North Fork with his entourage. Spotting the McCain ranch, he decides it would make a ranch for himself and tells McCain he wants to buy it. When Lucas says it's not for sale, Tiffaughes threatens harm to Mark unless he gets the ranch.
Episode 11 - The Apprentice Sheriff

Young Dan Willard takes on Marshal Micah Torrence's job. With no experience, he takes a tough stand with a bunch of Texas cowhands whose high spirits are evident at the saloon. Dan's father is worried he will get himself killed but Dan is determined to show how tough he is.
Episode 12 - The Angry Gun

Lucas and Mark are returning from a big cattle sale when the stage is robbed by three outlaws. Lucas, desperate to recover the money that was stolen, is determined to pursue the outlaws and takes off on foot through the rugged New Mexican mountains to recover his entire year's profits.
Episode 13 - The Young Englishman

Lucas gets in trouble when he accuses the foreman of a neighboring ranch of rustling some of his cattle.
Episode 14 - The Gaucho

An Argentine family moves to North Fork and settles on a ranch adjoining Lucas'. The townspeople are unfriendly to the new settlers, making fun of their clothing and customs. The Argentinean adult immigrant is openly hostile in return, particularly toward a young North Fork boy who pays court to the settlers' daughter.
Episode 15 - The Pet

Lucas and Mark find themselves exposed to anthrax after they adopt a stray horse whose owner has been killed in a gunfight. The killer comes gunning for Lucas under the mistaken impression that the man he killed had imparted some vital information to Lucas. He is bitten by the stray horse and despite the odds of an awful death from anthrax, he does not forget his murderous intent.
Episode 16 - The Sheridan Story

After the end of the Civil War, General Phil Sheridan, who has been appointed Governor of the New Mexico Territory, is on an inspection tour of the country. General Sheridan and his staff arrive at Lucas' ranch and decide to stay overnight. Trouble occurs when the General is confronted by an ex-confederate soldier, his health broken and his spirit twisted by an idea of revenge on Sheridan.
Episode 17 - The Retired Gun

When a famous gunfighter marries, he decides to retire. He and his wife settle down in North Fork and open a store. When three outlaws arrive in town, looking to best the gunman in a gunfight, he turns the other cheek. When he refuses to respond to their challenge, they wreck his store. Despite his wife's pleas, he puts on his gun belt and stands up against the outlaws.
Episode 18 - The Photographer

An old friend of Lucas McCain's, a traveling photographer, comes to North Fork plying his trade. When a murder is committed, the photographer is accused of the crime. He is about to be convicted on circumstantial evidence, when Mark and his father concoct a clever ruse using photographs to unmask the real killer.
Episode 19 - Shivaree

The townsfolk of North Fork decide to give a young couple an old fashioned shivaree celebration. When the drunken crowd gets out of hand and roughs up the bride-to-be, the young groom is prompted to challenge them with a rifle and it is left to Lucas to prevent bloodshed.
Episode 20 - The Deadeye Kid

McCain arranges for Donnel O'Mahoney, a tough kid from Brooklyn, and arranges with two men for the young man to continue his travels with two men on their wagon. One of the men is murdered and the other accuses the boy of having done it.
Episode 21 - The Indian

U.S. Marshal Sam Buckhart arrives in North Fork in search of renegade Indians suspected of the brutal killing of a Texas Ranger and his family, but the townspeople are suspicious of him when they discover that he too is an Indian.
Episode 22 - The Boarding House

Reformed card sharp Julia Massini now runs a respectable boarding house in North Fork but Sid Fallon is threatening to reveal her sordid past unless she lets him turn the establishment into a saloon and gambling hall.
Episode 23 - The Second Witness

Lucas puts his life in jeopardy when he agrees to testify in a murder case where the first witness was killed before he could testify and the killer still at large.
Episode 24 - The Trade

Outlaw Sam Morley falls in love with a young woman who has a serious illness and asks Lucas to turn him in for the reward and use the money to pay for her medical care.
Episode 25 - One Went to Denver

Lucas welcomes his old friend Tom Birch, who once saved his life, unaware that the man is now a bank robber on the run with his gang.
Episode 26 - The Deadly Wait

Dan Maury, released from Yuma prison, arrives in North Fork intent on getting even with Marshal Torrance, who helped send him to jail.
Episode 27 - The Wrong Man

Young Mark McCain is eager to help lawman Jay Jefferson, who has arrived in North Fork intent on killing an outlaw for the reward, whether he is the right man or not.
Episode 28 - The Challenge

Lucas comes to the rescue when escaped convicts hold up the general store in North Fork and take Marshal Torrance hostage.
Episode 29 - The Hawk

Young Mark manages to capture a hawk but falls into danger with a rattlesnake. When a stranger comes to his rescue, the grateful Mark invites the man home, unaware that he is on the run from the law.
Episode 30 - Three-Legged Terror

Lucas takes in an orphaned teen being raised by his abusive uncle after there is trouble at the school.
Episode 31 - The Angry Man

The McCains try to be tolerant of their embittered neighbor Abel MacDonald, but they decide he's gone too far when he won't allow his injured boy to get medical treatment.
Episode 32 - The Woman

An unfounded rumor causes North Fork's outspoken feminist schoolteacher to be attacked by a mob of angry townspeople.
Episode 33 - The Money Gun

When his employer begins to suspect him of embezzlement, bookkeeper Asa Manning decides to hire a professional gunman to take care of the problem.
Episode 34 - A Matter of Faith

Although a drought has forced local cowhands to seek work on a railroad construction project, railraod executives are afraid that their workers will desert them if they believe an old man's claim to have found a way to make rain.
Episode 35 - Blood Brothers

Lucas McCain gives blood to save a dying man and is surprised by Marshal Torrance's odd behavior towards the stranger. Soon, three men arrive from a nearby town and demand custody of the man.
Episode 36 - Stranger at Night

When Mark finds of the body of a murder victim, Lucas, his friend Artemus and Marshal Torrance begin a search for the killer.
Episode 37 - The Raid

When renegade Apaches wound Lucas and kidnap Mark, Marshal Torrance joins with U.S. Marshal Sam Buckhart to form a rescue posse.
Episode 38 - Outlaw's Inheritance

Lucas is the town's representative to the railroad commission until an infamous train robber dies and leaves his ill-gotten wealth to Lucas. Lucas must clear his name and stop the reckless ambition of his replacement.
Episode 39 - Boomerang

When a rancher dies after the bank forecloses the mortgage on his property, his son blames the banker for his father's death.
Episode 40 - The Mind Reader

When a wealthy rancher is killed, Mark suggests that they seek the aid of a mind reader to identify the murderer.
