About Sulochana Latkar
Married at age 14. Was trained by the veteran filmmaker Bhalji Pendharkar who was a recipient of the most prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award. Was epitomised as a loving and emotional mother to actors like Dilip Kumar, Sunil Dutt and Amitabh Bachchan in many Bollywood movies.
Is the mother-in-law of the popular actor Kashinath Ghanekar who died four years after marrying her daughter Kanchan. Was honoured with the prestigious Chitrabhushan award instituted by the Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Chitrapat Mahamandal. Had written a letter of blessings to Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan on his 75th birthday.
Was portrayed by the actor Sonali Kulkarni in the biopic Ani... Dr Kashinath Ghanekar (2018).
