Is of Ashkenazi Jewish and African American descent.
Was exposed since a young age to the performing arts, her mother was a choreographer, and her dad was a director.
Performed in several musicals in high school, and her mother was he dance teacher of the drama department.
Met her husband while working in the Reprise Theater Company after graduating high school.
Got married in 2012, and her father officiated the ceremony under a chuppah. In 2018, she made her debut as an actress on Broadway.
