Started her acting career with the television series Okay Ka, Fairy Ko first aired in 1987. Hoping to start a new career after marriage, became a licensed realtor in Florida in 2007 and in British Columbia in 2008. Returned to acting in 2011, playing the lead role in the television series Babaeng Hampaslupa. Is the first over-40-years celebrity to be listed in the top 10 sexiest women list compiled by FHM (For Him Magazine) Philippines in 2014. She ranked seventh. An active advocate against cancer; wearing a t-shirt supporting the fight against cancer at a press conference in 2012 attracted a lot of media attention. Became a brand ambassador for Avon in 2012. Was honored by People Asia magazine as one of the 15 Women of Style and Substance in 2014.
