Episode 1 - About a Vasectomy

Will (David Walton) returns to San Francisco to sort out his finances after a surprising royalty check. Andy (Al Madrigal) reveals to him that his wife Laurie (Annie Mulmolo) might be pregnant and he needs Will’s help to find out. Meanwhile, Marcus’s (Benjamin Stockham) new "friends" don’t sit well with Will and he attempts to convince Fiona (Minnie Driver) that the kids are up to no good. Adrianne Palicki, Jacob Hopkins and Keith Powell guest star.

  

Episode 2 - About a House for Sale

In an effort to fix his money problems, Will (David Walton) is advised to sell his house in San Francisco. Faced with his impending absence away from Fiona (Minnie Driver) and Marcus (Benjamin Stockham), Will focuses all of his energies into finding Marcus a new best friend. Meanwhile, Sam (guest star Adrianne Palicki) flies out to help Will pack up the rest of his belongings, only to discover a few surprises when she arrives. Al Madrigal and Annie Mumolo also star. Zach Cregger, Keith Powell and Phil Abrams guest star.

  

Episode 3 - About a Will-O-Ween

Will (David Walton) throws his annual Halloween bash; much to the dismay of Fiona (Minnie Driver) and Marcus (Benjamin Stockham); who consider it one of their least favorite holidays. Despite the fact that Fiona believes Will has other motives for throwing the party; she ends up meeting Sean (guest star Humphrey Ker) there and reveals a whole new side of herself. After a few mishaps at the party; Will shows Marcus the joys of Halloween. Al Madrigal and Annie Mumolo also star.

  

Episode 4 - About a Bad Girl

Marcus (Benjamin Stockham) encounters the unimaginable while assisting the school principal for the day, when he meets Shea (guest star Izabela Vidovic), a 14-year-old rebel with a penchant for trouble. Quickly developing a crush, Marcus takes the fall for a school incident she was responsible for, leaving Fiona (Minnie Driver) and Will (David Walton) to face some major parenting conflicts in dealing with the situation.

  

Episode 5 - About an Angry Ex

Will (David Walton) is sued by an angry ex-girlfriend, Stacy (guest star Aimee Garcia), who is claiming she co-wrote his song “Runaway Sleigh.” Will looks to Fiona (Minnie Driver) for help in hopes that she can persuade Stacy to drop the lawsuit. However, things don’t go according to plan as Fiona begins to sympathize with Stacy. Meanwhile, Marcus (Benjamin Stockham) tries relentlessly to spark a run-in with bad girl Shea (guest star Izabela Vidovic), as he continues in his quest for her affection.

  

Episode 6 - About a Balcony

Marcus (Benjamin Stockham) is ecstatic when a popular new teacher, Mr. Chris (guest star Chris Diamantopoulos) casts him as Romeo in the school production of notable Shakespeare scenes. Marcus asks Will (David Walton) to build the balcony set for his scene, however Will is more interested in watching “The Three Stooges” marathon with Marcus instead. Threatened by Mr. Chris’ growing relationship with Marcus, Will tries to impress them with the construction of his balcony. Elsewhere, Mr. Chris not only has gained a fan in Marcus, but Fiona (Minnie Driver) as well.

  

Episode 7 - About a Duck

Nervous for her first real date with Mr. Chris (guest star Chris Diamantopoulos), Fiona (Minnie Driver) begs Dakota (guest star Leslie Bibb) to accompany her as her safety net on the date. Will (David Walton) also finds himself tagging along as he attempts to woo Dakota. Meanwhile, with Fiona and Will busy with their double-dating escapades, Marcus (Benjamin Stockham) spends the evening with Andy (Al Madrigal) and Laurie (Annie Mumolo).

  

Episode 8 - About a Christmas Carol

With Christmas celebrations in full swing, Will (David Walton) is in agony over the cheerfulness around his least favorite holiday and the constant playing of his hit song “Runaway Sleigh.” With his lawsuit still pending, Laurie (Annie Mumolo) advises Will to settle and move on. Refusing to give up any of his earnings, Will and Marcus (Benjamin Stockham) go on a search for the original handwritten song lyrics as evidence to prove he is the sole writer of the song. Meanwhile, Fiona (Minnie Driver) and Andy (Al Madrigal) try to create the perfect white Christmas for Marcus.

  

Episode 9 - About a Manniversary

To celebrate a year of friendship, Marcus (Benjamin Stockham) convinces Will (David Walton ) to take him to the Golden Gate FemFest. Much to his chagrin, Will obliges and attempts to sneak backstage to fulfill Marcus’ dreams of meeting Lisa Loeb (guest starring as herself), who is headlining the festival. Meanwhile, Dakota (guest star Leslie Bibb) helps Fiona (Minnie Driver) prepare for a night of intimacy with Chris (guest star Chris Diamantopoulos).

  

Episode 10 - About a Boy Becoming a Man

When Will (David Walton) learns Andy (Al Madrigal) scored an invite to music mogul Johnny Idalis’ (guest star Greg Germann) son’s Bar Mitzah, he sees an opportunity to get his music noticed and forces Andy to make him his plus one. With a push from Shea (guest star Izabela Vidovic), Marcus (Benjamin Stockham) convinces Fiona (Minnie Driver) to let him stay home alone while she is on a date with Chris (guest star Chris Diamantopoulos). During their night out alone, mischievous Shea takes Marcus party-crashing while Andy and Will find themselves deep into a lie to impress Johnny.

  

Episode 11 - About a Hook

With the help of Andy (Al Madrigal), Will (David Walton) gets music mogul Johnny Idalis (guest star Greg Germann) to listen to a new song he wrote, however Johnny isn’t impressed with the hook. Meanwhile, Marcus (Benjamin Stockham) grows upset and frustrated with Chris (guest star Chris Diamantopoulos) and Fiona’s (Minnie Driver) growing relationship and flees to crash with Will, who is left struggling to juggle writing a catchy hook and the complications of his new roommate. Annie Mumulo also stars.

  

Episode 12 - About a Prostitute

Looking to make some quick cash, Will (David Walton) decides to start teaching guitar lessons. However, after a fling with his student’s mom, Emma (guest star Jama Williamson), Andy (Al Madrigal) speculates that Will is being paid for more than just his musical expertise. Elsewhere, Fiona (Minnie Driver) finds herself suddenly accepted by the popular moms at school and Marcus (Benjamin Stockham) prepares to perform at the upcoming school fundraiser.

  

Episode 13 - About a Cat Party

With high hopes of meeting single women, Will (David Walton) and TJ (guest star Zach Cregger) go out to their favorite watering hole on Valentine’s Day. With help from the bartender, Liz (guest star Christine Woods), Will lands a date and oddly finds himself attending a cat party – but his heart is pulled elsewhere. Meanwhile, Marcus (Benjamin Stockham) tries to plan the perfect Valentine’s date for Shea (guest star Izabela Vidovic), but when things don’t go according to plan, Marcus turns to Chris (guest star Chris Diamantopoulos) for his sage advice in Will’s absence. Al Madrigal and Annie Mumulo also star.

  

Episode 14 - About a Boyfriend

To Will (David Walton) and Fiona’s (Minnie Driver) surprise, Shea (guest star Izabela Vidovic) accepts Marcus’ (Benjamin Stockham) proposal to be his girlfriend. However, Shea’s idea of a boyfriend translates closer to a personal assistant than a companion. Elsewhere, Fiona attempts to be more spontaneous with Chris (guest star Chris Diamantopoulos), while Will chaperones Marcus and Shea’s frozen yogurt date. Al Madrigal and Annie Mumulo also star.

  

Episode 15 - About a Trunk

Just as Fiona is ready to deepen her relationship with Chris by telling him that she loves him, Will uncovers a secret about Chris that may change everything. At first he believes Chris is cheating on Fiona only to find out that he may be leaving town for a new job offer. Meanwhile, when Marcus discovers that having a girlfriend costs money, he ends up working for a very unlikely boss: Laurie.

  

Episode 16 - About a Memory Hole

Will is riding the emotional high of his budding romance with Liz the bartender. His high however runs in direct contrast to Fiona’s emotional low after her breakup with Mr. Chris. Out of solidarity, Will pledges his complete emotional support to Fiona during what turns out to be a day-long mourning ritual. But when Liz invites Will to spend a few hours of free time with her on the same day, their first real date, Will is forced to juggle his commitment to both Fiona and Liz.

  

Episode 17 - About a Babymoon

When a fight leads Andy and Laurie to separate vacations, Will struggles to handle an out of control Andy in Las Vegas while Fiona works to patch Laurie and Andy’s marriage. Meanwhile, Marcus tries to get his hands on a novel that he believes is the key to his relationship with Shea.

  

Episode 18 - About Another Boy

Even with things heating up in his relationship with Liz, Will's not ready to start throwing around the word "girlfriend." Meanwhile, Fiona and Marcus are determined to patch things up between Andy and Laurie, whether they want their help or not.

  

Episode 19 - About a Self Defense

Much to Will’s dismay, Fiona and Liz begin to bond until she starts to notice how unconventional Will’s relationship is with Fiona and Marcus. Elsewhere Marcus tries to take Shea out on a romantic date, but instead of falling deeper for Marcus, Shea begins to have feelings for Liz’s son Clay.

  

Episode 20 - About a Love in the Air

Marcus is reeling after his breakup with Shea, and Will and Fiona have opposing theories and methods of how to help him get over his first great heartbreak. It all comes to a head at the dance where Marcus very publically tries to win Shea back. And Liz, frustrated with Will's attachment to Fiona and Marcus, finally breaks up with Will. Will blames Fiona for everything. And after a huge argument Will and Fiona end up kissing.
