Episode 1 - The Book of Consequences: Chapter One: Rise of the Green Light BabiesAs Season Two opens, Jefferson Pierce and his family may have survived Tobias’s attack, but they’re not out of the woods yet. Concerned for the safety of Garfield’s students, the board considers a motion to shut down the school, forcing Jefferson to go to Napier Frank (guest star ROBERT TOWNSEND) to sway the vote. Jennifer struggles with her powers and her actions have unforeseen repercussions. Meanwhile, Anissa finds a new way to give back to Freeland. Lastly, Lynn continues her quest much to the dismay of Agent Odell (guest star BILL DUKE).

Episode 2 - The Book of Consequences: Chapter Two: Black Jesus BluesA man with many faces, Jefferson Pierce is a respected educator and father of two. He’s also Black Lightning, superpowered protector of Freeland with the ability to sense and harness electricity. Jefferson is not the only one with powers and multiple faces. His oldest daughter, Anissa is a medical student, part-time teacher and dedicated social activist. She’s also the super hero known as Thunder who’s able to drastically increase her density, giving her invulnerability and super strength. Finally, Jefferson’s youngest daughter, Jennifer is a fiery teen who inherited her father’s athletic gifts and his super powers.

Episode 3 - The Book of Consequences: Chapter Three: Master LowryJefferson is forced to watch as all of his good work is undone before his eyes when his replacement arrives and begins implementing sweeping changes. Meanwhile, Anissa continues to play Robin Hood by stealing from one of the most powerful crime syndicates in Freeland.

Episode 4 - The Book of Consequences: Chapter Four - Translucent FreakJefferson confronts Anissa about her reckless and irresponsible behavior, leading to a fierce disagreement.

Episode 5 - The Book of Blood: Chapter One: RequiemJefferson and Anissa work together investigating the hometown of a creepy man at the clinic and make a shocking discovery. Meanwhile, with Syonide gone, Tobias puts an increasing amount of pressure on Khalil to help fill some of the void left in the organization.

Episode 6 - The Book of Blood: Chapter Two - The PerdiBlack Lightning and Thunder return to South Freeland in an attempt to figure out what is going on. When they arrive, they are directed to a nearby wood where they are surrounded by a clan of mixed-race moonshiners called the Perdi. Meanwhile, Lynn, feeling tremendous guilt, falls into a deep depression. Lastly, Tobias finds that his plan is falling apart.

Episode 7 - The Book of Blood: Chapter Three: The SangeWhen Black Lightning and Thunder are attacked by Looker (recurring guest star SOFIA VASSILIEVA) and her clan, they fight to get her to release control over the Sange. Meanwhile, Jennifer and Khalil continue to grow closer.

Episode 8 - The Book of Rebellion: Chapter One - ExodusThe Pierce family is reeling in the wake of Jennifer’s disappearance. Jefferson, Lynn and Anissa all gather to discuss the most effective way to find her. After learning that Jennifer is with Khalil, Lynn goes to Detective Henderson to ask him to issue a warrant for Khalil’s arrest. Meanwhile, Jennifer and Khalil are doing their best to stay off the grid but Tobias’s new henchwoman Cutter (guest star KEARRAN GIOVANNI) is closing in on them.

Episode 9 - The Book of Rebellion: Chapter Two - Gift of MagiAfter Jennifer and Khalil escape, they take refuge in a barn and Jennifer desperately tries to save a now-feverish Khalil, who has grown worse from Cutter’s poisonous blade. Meanwhile, Jefferson, Lynn, and Anissa try everything to track down Jennifer and Khalil.

Meanwhile, Anissa figures out Grace’s secret. Lastly, Jefferson tries to instill a Super Hero code for his metahuman offspring, but Jennifer insists on taking revenge on Tobias for her boyfriend’s death.

Episode 16 - The Book of the Apocalypse: Chapter Two - The OmegaIn the second part of the two-part season finale, Lynn goes head-to-head with Dr. Jace (recurring guest star JENNIFER RIKER) once and for all. Meanwhile, Gambi risks his life to save Jennifer. Lastly, Tobias makes a major move to cripple Freeland and kill Black Lightning, requiring our Super Hero family to step up like never before.
