Episode 1 - On a Dead Guy’s Bench

From award-winning creator, executive producer and writer Chuck Lorre, Bob ♥ Abishola is a love story about a middle-aged compression sock businessman from Detroit who unexpectedly falls for his cardiac nurse, a Nigerian immigrant, while recovering from a heart attack and sets his sights on winning her over. Undaunted by Abishola’s (series star Folake Olowofoyeku) lack of initial interest or the vast differences in their backgrounds, Bob (series star Billy Gardell) is determined to win Abishola’s heart, in this comedic examination of immigrant life in America In the season premiere episode, Bob enlists Tunde’s help to buy an engagement ring, but his plans to propose to Abishola are upended by her belief that a traditional marriage is more trouble than it’s worth.

  

Episode 2 - Paris Is for Lovers, Not Mothers

Kemi (series star Gina Yashere) leans on Abishola after an argument with Chukwuemeka (recurring guest star Tony Tambi), disrupting her engagement celebration with Bob. Also, Dottie (series star Christine Ebersole) gives Douglas (series star Matt Jones) a new job at MaxDot.

  

Episode 3 - Straight Outta Lagos

Bob is excited to show off Abishola at his industry awards gala, but ruins the evening when he doesn’t let her speak for herself. Also, Douglas tries fitting in with Goodwin and Kofo (series regulars BAYO AKINFEMI and ANTHONY OKUNGBOWA) as one of the blue-collar guys on the warehouse floor.

  

Episode 4 - Camp Bananas

For the sake of Bob’s health, Bob and Abishola try reducing stress by taking a day off together. Meanwhile, Bob’s sister, Christina (series star Maribeth Monroe) is boss for the day at MaxDot, and Gloria (series star Vernee Watson) steps in to care for Dottie.

  

Episode 5 - Sleeping Next to an Old Boat

Abishola worries that Bob’s privileged lifestyle is starting to rub off on her son, Dele (series star Travis Wolfe Jr.). Also, a new robot vacuum brings Tunde (series star Barry Shabaka Henley) joy, but begins to make Olu (series star Shola Adewusi) feel insecure.

  

Episode 6 - A Tight Ass Is a Wonderful Thing

Thanks to Abishola’s brutal Nigerian honesty, Bob finds himself in a feud with Kemi. Also, after Douglas makes a big mistake on the warehouse floor, Goodwin hates himself for looking the other way.

  

Episode 7 - The Wrong Adebambo

When Abishola’s husband, Tayo (guest star Dayo Ade), makes a surprise visit from Nigeria to Detroit, Bob sees this as a perfect opportunity for Abishola to ask for a divorce, but Abishola is surprised when past feelings for her husband arise.

  

Episode 8 - Honest! Yak Prices

With Abishola’s husband adamant that he’ll never agree to a divorce, Bob and Abishola grow disheartened that they will never be able to get married.

  

Episode 9 - Tunde the Boy King

After a chance encounter, Abishola and Christina unexpectedly hit it off as future sisters-in-law. At MaxDot, Douglas gives the workers a much-needed morale boost, but feels pressured when Bob praises him as a natural leader.

  

Episode 10 - The Cheerleader Leader

After Tayo forbids Dele from dancing, Abishola enlists Bob’s help in talking to Dele about his feelings.

  

Episode 11 - I Did Not Raise Him to be a Teeenager

When Abishola puts her foot down about Dele going to Nigeria with his father, Dele rebels against her for the very first time.

  

Episode 12 - We Don't Rat on Family

Bob prepares to meet Abishola’s mother, but gets more than he bargained for when he enlists Tunde’s help in securing her approval. Meanwhile, Abishola considers breaking Nigerian tradition by having a small wedding.

  

Episode 13 - A Big African Bassoon

When Gloria goes on vacation, Abishola takes charge of the nursing staff, but quickly falls short as the job requires “people skills.” Also, with Abishola extra busy at the hospital, the Wheelers try to cope with her temporary absence.

  

Episode 14 - A Tough Old Bird

Bob and Abishola try to help a sad and volatile Kemi, who, after being dumped by Chukwuemeka, struggles with the possibility that her happiest days might be behind her.

  

Episode 15 - TLC: Tunde's Loving Care

As Abishola begins studying for medical school, she offends Gloria with an insensitive comment about Gloria’s own journey of almost becoming a doctor. Also, Tunde schools a reluctant Bob on the art of home repair while helping to fix his dishwasher.

  

Episode 16 - Sights and Bites

While Abishola is nervous about Dele’s trip to Nigeria with his father, Bob creates a guidebook on Nigeria for him that he proudly calls “Sights and Bites.”

  

Episode 17 - The Devil's Taste Buds

While Dele is in Nigeria, Abishola struggles with how to handle her free time, so Bob, Gloria and Kemi remind her how to let loose.

  

Episode 18 - God Accepts Venmo

While comparing their busy schedules, Bob and Abishola realize the perfect date for their wedding is only three weeks away. In the second season finale, they enlist their family and friends to help plan their big day.
