Episode 1 - Deep State (S2 E1): CiceroIn Mali, four U.S. Special Forces and a translator are supposedly killed in an ambush. This delays a procurement deal in Washington, and it is up to the deep state’s operative Nathan Miller (Walton Goggins) to make sure everything goes to plan, while also battling to keep his family together.

Episode 2 - Deep State (S2 E2): Hard SunMiller (Walton Goggins), along with Amanda Jones (Anastasia Griffith), flies to Mali to contain an increasingly unstable situation. In order to make sure a deal gets over the line, he hatches a plot that will tie up a number of loose ends for him.

Episode 3 - Deep State (S2 E3): Declaration of IndependenceHarry (Joe Dempsie) and Leyla (Karima McAdams) learn from Aïcha (Lily Banda) that weapons smuggling has been the goal all along. The trio must throw themselves at the mercy of a high-level Malian minister who is supposedly fighting corruption...but can they trust her?

Episode 4 - Deep State (S2 E4): Tomorrow's VictoryTrue to her word, Aminata Sissoko (Zainab Jah) reunites Aïcha (Lily Banda) with her family, but as she does, Harry (Joe Dempsie) and Leyla (Karima McAdams) are faced with a crisis. Harry turns to Miller (Walton Goggins) and makes a deal to ensure their safety.

Episode 5 - Deep State (S2 E5): SurrenderHarry (Joe Dempsie), Aïcha (Lily Banda) and Leyla (Karima McAdams) are driven, out of necessity, to return to Al Moctar’s (Alexander Siddig) camp. In the search for the trio, Jones (Anastasia Griffith) reveals a sensitive piece of information to Miller (Walton Goggins).

Episode 6 - Deep State (S2 E6): The New NormalWith Aïcha (Lily Banda) close to danger, Harry (Joe Dempsie) must act quickly. He convinces Al Moctar (Alexander Siddig) to hold off on any action, and realizes that the deep state may be pulling away from him.

Episode 7 - Deep State (S2 E7): Changes Upon ChangesOn the trail of a breadcrumb, Harry (Joe Dempsie), Leyla (Karima McAdams) and Aïcha (Lily Banda) do some more digging until they are faced with potential punishment. Miller (Walton Goggins) begins to put the rest of his plan in action.

Episode 8 - Deep State (S2 E8): A Dead Man's MachineFinally, all the pieces of the puzzle come into place, and the connection between the arms trail and the deep state is laid bare.
