After Sophie kicks Gene's butt, they visit a veteran's hospital to say a special "thank you" to some wounded soldiers, moving a very emotional Gene to tears. Inspired by the dedication and patriotism they witness, Gene calls his KISS bandmate Tommy Thayer and the two go into the studio to record a new rock n' roll anthem for all branches of the armed forces.
