Episode 1 - Episode 1In an Edinburgh cellar, two gunshots ring out. Across town, Max McCall is released from prison. These two events gradually come together as we watch Max try to rebuild his life, and new arrival Erin trying to save hers. Max turns to a newly confident Kenny for help despite their troubled history. It appears that Max’s fall from grace is complete. But he has a secret motivation to reveal.

Episode 2 - Episode 2In Edinburgh’s Leith area, a vast redevelopment is being promised by the mysterious Phoenix company, but something lies in the way. A rundown church, and fearless Minister Sandy. When Max and Kenny pursue the truth of their illicit work for Roy, they find themselves crossing paths with Sandy and coming off worse. Pressure builds for Erin, while Teddy is seeking answers.

Episode 3 - Episode 3Max and Erin’s relationship grows ever more complicated, as the pressure on Max from his police handler Jackie steadily increases. Under pressure from the increasingly menacing Teddy, Kenny makes a shocking discovery. Max faces a multitude of threats, which sees him forcibly taken for a surprising meeting with a face from the past.

Episode 4 - Episode 4Max and Jake reacquaint themselves and immediately pick up arguments old and new. Erin finds out a family secret, leaving her conflicted. With pressure building all around, Max offers Erin salvation while heading to meet his own fate. He might have given her a way out, but is running out of time to find one for himself.
