Season 1 Episode Guide

Episode 1 - The Hotness

The Hollywood Residential crew is at Paula Abdul's house to build a dance studio. Tony (Adam Paul) kicks off the episode by nearly cutting off a production assistant's leg, just one of the many incidents that show producer Don (David Ramsey) has to deal with on the set. Co-host Lila (Lindsey Stoddart) is introduced as Tony’s new sidekick, a hot, tall, up-and-coming television personality – and very competent at what she does. Having Lila on the show makes Tony jealous, jittery and very uneasy. Adding to his troubles, we also learn that Tony is broke and owes his ex-wife alimony. He’s also getting on Paula’s nerves, but ends up endearing himself to her with a rap/dance in her honor. Just when it appears that he has successfully completed Paula’s new studio, Tony manages to ruin the moment.

Episode 2 - Where's Tom?

The Hollywood Residential crew is at Tom Arnold's house to spruce up his backyard, but problems arise when Tom is nowhere to be found. Tony (Adam Paul) fesses up that he was out partying with Tom the night before and hasn't seen him since. He promises to find Tom in order to save the episode. During the wait, Lila (Lindsey Stoddart) meets with her agents who discuss their strategy for making her a huge star. Tony thinks he's saved the day by breaking Tom out of rehab, but the unpredictable Mr. Arnold has other plans in mind.

Episode 3 - Dominion Day

Today Hollywood Residential is at sexy Carmen Electra's house to construct a new bathroom. An on-set accident causes the demise of Carmen's precious dog, and she threatens to take the incident to the media. Lila's (Lindsey Stoddart) agent swiftly arrives to protect her client, putting all the blame on Tony (Adam Paul), and promising Carmen a role in the next Peter Jackson movie. Meanwhile, the agent signs Tony to the agency, not because of his talent, but to keep him quiet. Tony takes the fall for Carmen’s loss, but he's ok with that because in his mind, the most powerful agency in town wants to make him a star.

Episode 4 - Sauna

Production starts off uncomfortably for Tony (Adam Paul) when he discovers that episode guest Jamie Kennedy is dating his ex-wife. Jamie continuously throws this in Tony’s face, so he takes out his frustration by messing up Jamie's house. He glues all the drawers shut, loosens screws on shelves and puts raw meat in all the wall sockets. To top it off, he builds Jamie's sauna on top of the septic tank. Tony has a change of heart and admits to some of his pranks, but a final insult from Jamie keeps him from mentioning the sauna and the septic tank, which results in a rather unpleasant night for Jamie and Tony’s ex.

Episode 5 - Awards Show

Today the crew is at Cheryl Hines’ house to remodel her screening room. Tony's (Adam Paul) mom, Rose, is on the set and making him uneasy because she’s razzing Lila. Like a good mom, Rose will do or say anything to help her son's career. Cheryl has agreed to take someone from the show to the Golden Globe Awards in lieu of taking her husband. Vying for the one extra ticket, Lila (Lindsey Stoddart) and Tony campaign to be Cheryl's guest and are mortified when Rose ends up going to the awards show. In the end, frustrated by his wife’s actions, Cheryl’s husband walks out on her.

Episode 6 - Only Small Actors

Tony is hanging out with Hollywood Residential guest Chris Kattan, discussing Chris' next movie. Chris thinks Tony (Adam Paul) would be perfect for a role, and since he's an associate producer on the film, sets up an audition for Tony with the director. Tony comes back from the audition thinking he has the role in the bag, but actually was so bad that Chris loses his producing credit. Meanwhile a studio exec visits Lila (Lindsey Stoddart) and tells her the series will be focusing more on her in the future.

Episode 7 - It Happens

Today the Hollywood Residential crew is at the home of John Cho and his wife Kerri. Problems arise when the crew realizes that Kerri has invited a porn film crew to shoot at the house on the same day, in exchange for a donation to her favorite charity. Tony (Adam Paul) sees a dark future for himself when he learns that one of the porn actors is an old friend from acting school whose life hasn't turned out as he expected. Meanwhile, John is accused of sexually harassing one of the porn stars, thus losing the charitable donation and upsetting his wife. Tony and Lila (Lindsey Stoddart) share an intimate moment that ends in a kiss and Lila has to gently explain to Tony that they are not a couple. It was just a spur of the moment thing.

Episode 8 - Lila's Party

Tony King (Adam Paul) has ideas about remodeling Beverly D'Angelo's house and possibly her relationships, if he can only learn a few things. Co-host Lila Mann, on the other hand, is learning all sorts of things she’s not fully comfortable with about both herself and Tony, and gets creative in addressing them.
