Episode 1 - Episode 1More than a decade after quitting the force to start a family, former detective sergeant Marcella Backland is devastated by the breakdown of her marriage. When a detective comes seeking her opinion on an unsolved case she had investigated, Marcella returns to police work to try to catch the killer.

Episode 2 - Episode 2The Gibson family contacts the police about Grace’s disappearance, while Marcella tries to make sense of her vague memories of visiting Grace the night before. Sex-worker Cara’s habit of robbing her clients lands her in danger.

Episode 3 - Episode 3Marcella waits anxiously for Grace’s body to be found and tries to fit together the pieces of the night by searching CCTV footage. Sylvie, distraught over her daughter’s death, is livid to learn of Grace and Jason’s relationship.

Episode 4 - Episode 4The detectives get a new lead in the Grove Park Killer case when an elderly man narrowly escapes becoming the next victim. Meanwhile, Marcella notices a taxi cab on the CCTV footage from outside of Grace’s house, and she interrogates the driver.

Episode 7 - Episode 7Mo confronts Marcella about his brother’s murder, and Marcella makes a startling confession. Jason’s suspicious involvement with Andrew Barnes brings him under police scrutiny, while the evidence against Yann begins to disintegrate.

Episode 8 - Episode 8Unable to locate Matthew, Marcella begins another line of inquiry, looking more closely at Grace’s brother, Henry. Jason’s suspicions are also aroused, and he decides to confront Henry at his home.
