An Amerasian baby capture the hearts of the MASH staff, but they encounter resistance when trying to find the baby a home.

Hawkeye decides to give up alcohol for a week and Charles is upset over his sister's potential suitor.

Colonel Potter and Charles are stricken with the mumps, but the temporary surgeon who replaces them is the one with a far more serious malady.
