Episode 1 - War of the Silver KingsIn the series pilot, Bret Maverick wins big in a poker game by bluffing the owner of a local silver mine, but the losing mine owner refuses to accept his losses and hires Big Mike Macomb to kill Bret. Now, when he hears that the mine owner has been cheating the miners, Bret comes up with a plan to help the miners get a fair deal -- and save his own life.

Episode 2 - Point BlankAn apparently innocent couple schemes to use Bret as a scapegoat in the plans to rob a bank. Mike Connors guest stars as Ralph Jordan.

Episode 3 - According to HoyleCon woman Samantha Crawford (DIANE BREWSTER) gets the better of Bret when she beats him at a poker game with a little-known rule. Choosing to join forces rather than lose, Bret goes into business with Samantha -- but the partnership is only part two of her con.

Episode 4 - Ghost RiderBret begins to doubt his sanity when he discovers that he beautiful woman with whom he has been traveling has really been dead for more than a week -- and that his traveling companion is really an imposter. Guest starring EDD "KOOKIE" BYRNES.

Episode 5 - The Long HuntA dying outlaw confesses to Bret that he committed the crime for which an innocent man is serving a life sentence, but when Bret tries to prove the prisoner's innocence he discovers that someone want him to stay in jail.

Episode 6 - Stage WestBret helps a widow attempting to take over her late husband's silver mine. Based on the story "That Packsaddle Affair" by LOUIS L'AMOUR and guest starring EDD "KOOKIE" BYRNES.

Episode 7 - Relic of Fort TejonBret is elated when he wins an "Arabian mount" in a card game . . . until he sees that it's not a horse, but a very friendly camel. This trusty steed proves its worth, however, when Bret confronts the fiancée of a longtime friend who runs a crooked casino.

Episode 8 - HostageIn New Orleans, Bret and Bart Maverick see a way to win some money: They plan a trip aboard the River Princess, owned by wealthy Creole businessman Henri Devereaux, who, unfortunately, dislikes Americans. But when Bret and Bart find themselves in the middle of the kidnapping of Devereaux's daughter--and rescue her for a small fee--the riverboat owner is happy to invite them aboard.

Episode 9 - StampedeBret sees a way to make some money by arranging a boxing match between two very big, very tough, very mean fighters. But when one of the boxers quits, Bret must make a choice to lose the money . . . or fight the Battling Krueger. Guest starring EFREM ZIMBALIST, JR. as Dandy Jim Buckley.

Episode 10 - The Jeweled GunBart's life is in danger when he escorts pretty Daisy Harris through the Bad Lands by pretending to be her husband when he realizes that she needs less protection than he needs from her.

Episode 11 - The WreckerBart and Bret take go to sea and find themselves in a competition for the salvage rights to a derelict cargo ship. It seems the wreck is extremely valuable, and Bart wants to know why. PATRIC KNOWLES guest stars.

Episode 12 - The Quick and the DeadBret finds the man responsible for a robbery that he has been accused of committing, but the purpetrator is about to face Doc Holliday in a gun battle before he can prove Bret's innocence.

Episode 13 - The Naked GallowsWhen a convicted murderer escapes from jail, Bret tries to help clear his name -- but ends up facing a .45. MIKE CONNORS guest stars.

Episode 16 - Rage for VengeanceBret is more than happy to escort a lovely young widow with a large sum of cash to the bank -- until he realizes the money is all counterfeit.

Episode 17 - Rope of CardsWhen Bret is the only member of a jury who believes the young man on trial for murder is innocent, he uses a very long odds poker trick to convince his fellow jurors of the truth.

Episode 18 - Diamond in the RoughA respected San Francisco businessman, who's really a gentleman thief and notorious swindler, beats up Bart, takes his cash and leaves him in the hold of an outbound cargo ship.

Episode 19 - Day of ReckoningBret must stop a rancher from taking over the town after the rancher murders the marshall -- so he asks the townspeople to do something.

Episode 20 - The Savage HillsBart has trouble telling the good guys from the bad when he and Samantha team up to recover stolen treasury plates.

Episode 21 - Trail West to FuryIt should be an easy job when Bret and Bart agree to drive a woman rancher's cattle to market, but they run into complications and must search the open range from the one man who can clear them of a murder charge. EFREM ZIMBALIST, JR. guest stars as Dandy Jim Buckley.

Episode 22 - The Burning SkyWhen they are attacked in the desert, Bart and his fellow stagecoach passengers must battle their attackers, each other -- and the sun!

Episode 23 - The Seventh HandSamantha arranges a poker game and sets Bret up as the fall guy when she also invites a pair of robbers. Now, with his money, his reputation and possibly his life at stake, Bret hunts the men who stole the poker money.
