Episode 1 - Terrorists and Gingerbread

The third season of Mom premieres with "Terrorists and Gingerbread," where Christy (Anna Faris) and her mom have different ideas about forgiveness when Bonnie's (Allison Janney) estranged mother, Shirley (guest star Ellen Burstyn), suddenly wants to be a part of their lives.

  

Episode 2 - Thigh Gap and a Rack of Lamb

Christy and Bonnie try to help Jodi (guest star EMILY OSMENT), a teenage addict they met at their meeting. SARA RUE returns as Candace.

  

Episode 3 - Mozzarella Sticks and a Gay Piano Bar

After Christy and Bonnie get Jodi, a recovering drug addict back on her feet, they find themselves addicted to the rush of helping others and take on a new "project," Michelle (guest star Judy Greer).

  

Episode 4 - Sawdust and Brisket

Christy is thrilled when Violet tells her she wants to spend more time together and improve their relationship. Also, Bonnie tries to make amends with her nemesis in the building, Beverly (guest star Amy Hill). Guest star David Krumholtz returns as Violet's fiancé, Gregory.

  

Episode 5 - A Pirate, Three Frogs and a Prince

Roscoe's parent-teacher conference leaves Christy feeling threatened by Baxter's girlfriend, Candace. Also, Bonnie tries to get her dating mojo back by flirting with an unlikely target.

  

Episode 6 - Horny‐Goggles and a Catered Intervention

Christy and Bonnie try to be supportive when Regina (recurring guest star Octavia Spencer) tells them she doesn't think she's an alcoholic. Also, Wendy tries to convince the women to attend a sober holiday dance.

  

Episode 7 - Kreplach and a Tiny Tush

Christy hosts a family dinner for Violet’s hard-to-please future mother-in-law, Phyllis (guest star LINDA LAVIN). Also, Bonnie balks when Steve (guest star DON McMANUS) wants to take their relationship to the next level.

  

Episode 8 - Snickerdoodle and a Nip Slip

When Christy catches the eye of Candace’s wealthy, charming father, Fred, Candace and Baxter are outraged, while Bonnie pushes Christy to give him a chance. Harry Hamlin guest stars as Candace's wealthy father, Fred. Sara Rue returns as Candace.

  

Episode 9 - My Little Pony and a Demerol Drip

Christy's burgeoning relationship with Fred gets more and more difficult for Candace to handle. Bonnie, however, enjoys the perks of Christy dating a wealthy man.

  

Episode 10 - Quaaludes and Crackerjack

In order to avoid her ex-boyfriend, Bonnie drags Christy to a new AA meeting, only to run into her ex-girlfriend, Jeanine (guest star Rosie O'Donnell), from 30 years ago.

  

Episode 11 - Cinderella and a Drunk MacGyver

Christy tries to help Julian (guest star Joe Manganiello), a handsome, newly sober AA member, but her attraction to him complicates things. Meanwhile, Bonnie jumps at the chance to attend a lavish charity gala with Jill.

  

Episode 12 - Diabetic Lesbians and a Blushing Bride

When Marjorie announced she's getting married, Christy and Bonnie are determined to make it the perfect day. Rhea Perlman guest stars as Mr. Perugian's sister, Anya.

  

Episode 13 - Sticky Hands and a Walk on the Wild Side

Christy, Jill and Wendy find themselves in a sticky situation when they agree to help Bonnie smuggle an illegal substance across the Canadian border.

  

Episode 14 - Death, Death, Death and a Bucket of Chicken

Christy tries to be supportive when a health scare throws Bonnie into a tailspin.

  

Episode 15 - Nazi Zombies and a Two-Hundred-Pound Baby

Bonnie tries to get Christy to admit that she still has feelings for her ex-husband, Baxter.

When the restaurant closes for renovation, Christy takes a job as Jill's personal assistant. Also, Bonnie answers a wrong number and falls for the guy on the other end of the line. William Fichtner guest stars as Bonnie's mysterious caller, Adam.

  

Episode 17 - Caperberries and a Glass Eye

Christy encourages Bonnie to go out with a great new guy, Adam, only to find out that he's not as great as she thought.

  

Episode 18 - Beast Mode and Old People Kissing

When Jodi's boyfriend, Travis (guest star Jesse Luken), who was with her when she overdosed, shows up at an A.A. meeting, Christy struggles to show him the compassion he needs. Also, Bonnie's new boyfriend feels left out because she spends so much time at A.A.

  

Episode 19 - A Catheter and a Dipsy-Doodle

Despite being extremely ill, Christy insists on taking her final exams. Also, Bonnie is furious when she suspects that her boyfriend Adam is cheating on her.

  

Episode 20 - Pure Evil and a Free Piece of Cheesecake

When Christy learns she made the Dean's List at school, she's disappointed by Bonnie's lackluster response. Richard Schiff guest stars as Bonnie's fantasy co-worker.

  

Episode 21 - Mahjong Sally and the Ecstasy

Christy and Bonnie don't know who to believe when they hear conflicting stories about Violet and Gregory's breakup. Linda Lavin returns as Gregory's mother, Phyllis.

  

Episode 22 - Atticus Finch and the Downtrodden

On the third season finale, Christy's dream of becoming a lawyer is in jeopardy when she is hit with the reality of how much her education will cost. Also, Bonnie becomes the disciplinarian now that Violet is living at home.
