Episode 1 - A Wild EducationThere is never a shortage of orphans in need at the Nyaru Menteng Rescue Center in Borneo. Environmental pressures and climate change on the island have left many young orangutans without parents, and four new ones have just arrived, desperately needing food, caring, and a crash course on how to become an adult. Follow these four new students and their upperclassmen as they work and play hard to master the jungle school curriculum and prepare for a life in the wild, thanks to a team of specially trained human carers.

Episode 2 - A Friend in NeedThe specially trained team of vets and carers at the Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation’s rehabilitation center tend to their rescued orphans year-round. But it takes more than a human touch for the displaced animals to graduate jungle school and return to the wild. They need each other. Witness the tight bonds formed by the students and see how each squabble and cuddle is a chance to learn from one another as they progress on their path to becoming orangutans who can one day roam free.

Episode 3 - Growing PainsJust as with human children, growing up for orangutans can be a turbulent time, full of changing hormones, shifting relationships, and new responsibilities. At the Nyaru Menteng Rescue Center, founded by the Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation, it takes a dedicated team of vets and teachers to support the apes through each transition. Witness some of the challenges the orphans face over the course of the jungle school year, from failed romances and insecurities to unexpected pregnancies and crash diets.
