Episode 1 - Pilot

It's all in the mind -- When Los Angeles police homicide detective Michael Raines (Jeff Goldblum) arrives at the crime scene, Sandy Boudreau (Alexa Davalos), a beautiful young woman, is lying face down, murdered with a bullet in her back. As Raines begins the investigation, the murdered victim haunts his imagination and this hallucination keeps hounding him with one crucial question -- who did this? When Raines discovers the victim's unwholesome past and mysterious calls from a wealthy man's cell phone, he starts to piece together a puzzle that he hopes will lead him to the killer -- and peace of mind. Episode 2 - Meet Juan Doe

It's all washed up -- Madeleine Stowe is introduced as "Dr. Kohl" -- A Martinez Guest Stars. - When a partially decomposed body washes up in the Venice canals, Raines (Jeff Goldblum) is faced with the difficulty of piecing his victim's identity together. With help from his team, Raines identifies the victim and discovers that he is somehow connected to Los Angeles City Councilman Aurelio Sanchez (A Martinez). Meanwhile, Captain Lewis (Matt Craven) notices that Raines is acting odd and requires him to see Dr. Kohl (Madeleine Stowe), a psychiatrist. Dov Davidoff, Linda Park, Nicole Sullivan and Malik Yoba also star.

  

Episode 3 - Reconstructing Alice

Lost identity - When Alice (guest star Laurie Metcalf, "Desperate Housewives"), a homeless woman, is found murdered in an alley, Raines' (Jeff Goldblum) investigation leads him to a trail of deception, fraud and murder. Matt Craven, Dov Davidoff, Linda Park, Madeleine Stowe, Nicole Sullivan and Malik Yoba also stars.

  

Episode 4 - Stone Dead

Father figure -- When a 20-year-old drug dealer is found dead, Raines discovers he was an aspiring comic book illustrator trying to get away from his former life. Meanwhile, Raines is concerned about Charlie’s (Malik Yoba) son and Samantha (Madeleine Stowe) urges Raines to bring him to see her to about Childhood Traumatic Grief. Matt Craven, Dov Davidoff, Linda Park and Nicole Sullivan also star.

  

Episode 5 - The Fifth Step

Addicted to love -- When the wife of an old friend of Raines' is discovered murdered with an Aryan Nation insignia inscribed on her chest, the case seemed cut and dry. However, as Raines digs deeper into the victim’s past, he discovers a disturbing web of lies, cover-ups and misguided good intentions. Matt Craven, Dov Davidoff, Linda Park, Madeleine Stowe, Nicole Sullivan and Malik Yoba also star.

  

Episode 6 - Inner Child

A parent's loss--Seasoned homicide detective Raines (Jeff Goldblum) is troubled that he’s having hallucinatory conversations with his murder case victims, and is especially disturbed during the investigation of a murder and rape of a ten-year-old girl. Meanwhile, Raines is making progress in his therapy sessions with Dr. Kohl (Madeleine Stowe). Matt Craven, Dov Davidoff, Linda Park, Nicole Sullivan and Malik Yoba also star.

  

Episode 7 - Closure

Season Finale-- Closing the Book-- Cynthia Watros Guest-Stars - Raines discovers he has to do some major self-reflection when his ex-wife Sarah (guest star Cynthia Watros) convinces him and Captain Lewis (Matt Craven) that her husband's death was not an accident. Dov Davidoff, Linda Park, Madeleine Stowe, Nicole Sullivan and Malik Yoba also star.
