Over at Penguin Beach, the team keeps a close eye on a penguin couple and their two fertilized eggs and must intervene when one of the eggs starts to slowly hatch without making much progress. Meanwhile, the Reptiles Team has been waiting years for a Komodo dragon to lay eggs for the first time!

Critical-care manatees struggle with the cold while an aging penguin develops a limp. Meanwhile, there is nothing routine about a medical procedure for endangered African wild dogs.

A monkey is preparing for a birth of its own, but the team needs to intervene, and the stakes couldn't be higher. Additionally, the Africa team conducts a social experiment with two elephants.
