Bernie is worried that the kids are being exposed to things that they are too young to handle.

After begging Wanda to cancel dinner plans they have with another couple, Bernie tells Jordan to fake an asthma attack so that the two of them can sneak off to a basketball game.

When Kelly's girlfriend throws him out, Bernie lets him stay at the house.

     

Episode 21 - Sweet Home Chicago: Part 1

Bernie takes the entire family to Chicago for the funeral of a beloved uncle, but his cousin's (Don Cheadle) scheming mars the trip.

Bernie takes the family on a tour of his old stomping grounds. Vanessa attempts to find her mother.
