Episode 1 - Episode 1When Jodie Walsh’s 4-year-old son vanished from a lakeside picnic, he was presumed to have drowned. But his body was never found, and Jodie’s always believed he was abducted. Nine years later she sees a boy on the way to school whom she’s convinced is her son. Met with disbelief from her family and the authorities, Jodie takes matters into her own hands to get closer to the teenager, Daniel.

Episode 2 - Episode 2Jodie opens old family wounds when she sets off on a dangerous journey to prove the boy is her abducted son. After Mark tells Jodie to stay away from Daniel, she returns to her gardening business but later finds a way to spend time with him. When Daniel and Mark have an explosive fight, Daniel shows up on Jodie’s doorstep.

Episode 3 - Episode 3Jodie uses a home testing kit to take a sample of Daniel’s DNA and makes plans for them to travel abroad until everything dies down. Needing a passport for Daniel, she visits her employee Ade in search of forged papers, but she returns home to find that Daniel is gone. While looking for him, she encounters Mark, who confronts her about trying to steal Daniel away.

Episode 4 - Episode 4Jodie should be joyful now that the police DNA test has proved Daniel is her son, but the boy’s reunion with the rest of the family doesn’t go well. Jodie visits Mark in prison and learns why he has told Daniel so little of his past. Faced with contradictory evidence, Jodie fears for Daniel’s safety. At the lake where it all began, she finally learns the horrific truth of what happened to her son.
