Wolf Creek Season 2 Episodes
Season 2 Episode Guide
Episode 1 - JourneyTwisted serial killer Mick Taylor is furious. After almost dying at the hands of Season 1’s Eve Thorogood, he’s got a fresh taste for murder and mayhem, and this time he’s looking for a really good time. Caught smack bang in Mick’s sights is a group of international tourists embarking on an adventure of a lifetime. Led by cheerful tour guide Davo, the group is promised a chance to leave the city life behind and enter the real outback Australia – a mesmerising, confronting landscape, filled with mystery and danger. For Americans Rebecca and Danny, this outback adventure is their last chance at repairing their marriage, but will Rebecca’s new connection with Brian, a charming British psychiatrist, threaten their already fractured relationship? Meanwhile, German expatriates Oskar and Nina struggle with their wild spirited teenage daughter, Emma, who has set her sights on a fellow traveller – the attractive blogger, Wade. Wade’s got other things on his mind and spends his time flirting with a cute Canadian girl, Michelle. Her best friend, Kelly, jealously watches their growing relationship - in love with Michelle, but worried that any move will ruin their friendship. Joined by solo traveller Bruce, couple Johnny and Steve, and a loveable geek, Richie, the group quickly bond and immerse themselves in outback Australia. |
Episode 2 - OutbackThe group wake up to find that Mick has disappeared and they are alone in the outback and distracted by the mysterious turn of events, nobody notices that Richie is missing. After some investigation, it becomes apparent that the group’s situation is more dire than it first appeared: The bus has no battery and their SAT phone is missing. With food and water quickly running out, the group bicker about whether to stay put or to look for a town, Danny and Johnny decide they should leave the safety of the bus and search for help. Meanwhile, Richie is, quite literally, up to his neck in it. After killing a friendly park ranger, Sylvia, who doesn’t buy Mick’s line that Davo had to leave for a family emergency, Mick decides to deal with Richie, who may be suspicious of him too. Back at the camp and Wade has discovered that their bus ride with Mick was a little longer than they first thought. A whole day, in fact. The group quickly realise that Mick drugged them on the bus and taken them to Western Australia – they could be hundreds of kilometres away from the nearest town. Discovering Davo’s body in the bus trailer, the group’s situation is becoming horrific. Even worse than that, the night’s playing tricks and they hear people screaming for help in the distance. Horrified that it could be Danny and Johnny, Rebecca and Steve demand to take action, and a small rescue party - Rebecca, Steve, Kelly and Bruce - venture out after them. While fruitlessly searching in the dark scrubland, the rescue party are rocked by gunshots and a huge fireball explosion in the distance – the tour bus is up in flames, and with a lurch they realise that Wade, Emma, Michelle, Brian, Oskar and Nina are in immediate, horrifying danger. |
Episode 3 - ChaseAfter the bus explosion, the group is in chaos. Bruce has been skewered and killed by a flying piece of debris and back at the bus, Wade and Emma have been caught in the fireball and instantly killed. Michelle is alive, but badly burnt. Now realizing the sick truth that they are likely being hunted and targeted by Mick, the survivors decide they are sitting ducks if they remain where they are. With water and food running out, they set their sights on a hill in the distance where a flock of birds could indicate water, and maybe civilization. Brian privately relays his concerns to Rebecca that Michelle’s burns are too grave to survive and that she is using up precious water and energy. Appalled, Rebecca refuses to acknowledge that Michelle can’t be saved and the group carries on. Meanwhile, the group is becoming dehydrated and realize that they have to return to the bus in search for Oskar’s pills that he left behind – without them, he’s in danger of a fatal heart attack. Brian and Rebecca volunteer to return to the camp, but as they return, Mick appears and the pair are forced into a terrifying game of cat and mouse to retrieve the pills and escape. While they are at the camp, Brian finds Johnny’s ear in Mick’s truck in a gruesome discovery, Rebecca steals Mick’s shotgun and Brian only just manages to talk her out of trying to shoot Mick. Brian adds sand to Mick’s fuel tank, hoping to disable the truck, putting distance between them and their predator. Returning to the others, they decide to keep walking towards the hill as a storm hits. Seeing headlights in the distance, the group is flung into turmoil as Steve and Kelly battle ferocious winds and disappear after the car, while the remainder of the group are forced to find shelter from the storm. While Oskar and Nina rest, both Brian and Rebecca acknowledge that Michelle is close to death. With supplies of food and water critically low, Brian makes the harrowing decision to euthanize Michelle. |
Episode 4 - SingingAfter a night alone in the desert, Steve is found by indigenous stockmen, Patrick and Dino, and convinces them to search for Kelly and the others. Kelly is out in the desert on her own, level-headed enough to realise that Mick might be on her tail and creating diversion tracks in a bid to throw him in the wrong direction. Meanwhile, the main group have buried Michelle and are continuing on towards the hill, suffering from dehydration and quickly becoming frustrated with each other. When Nina is bitten by a snake, the group descend into panic mode, but with no help in sight and no anti-venom on hand, they doggedly continue on. As Steve, Patrick and Dino track Kelly, they begin to suspect that Mick is also following Kelly and the trio realise that they are being hunted themselves. But they realise too late – Patrick is shot and killed by Mick, and with Steve captured, only Dino manages to escape. Kelly steps in at the last minute, but ever the quick thinker, Mick manages to talk Kelly down, eventually disarming her and capturing her – but not before gruesomely killing Steve in the process. Meanwhile, Dino has enlisted the help of local elder, Uncle Moses, and the two men return to fight Mick in a final showdown. Struck down, Mick manages to regain his advantage and brutally shoots Moses and Dino dead. Satisfied with his work, Mick takes Kelly to the most terrifying place she could imagine – his lair. Rebecca, Brian, Nina and Oskar have finally managed to have a bit of good luck – and after eventually reaching the hill, they spot a mine compound in the distance. Safety at last - or is it? |
Episode 5 - ShelterReaching the compound, Rebecca, Brian, Oskar and Nina are sorely disappointed to discover that it’s an abandoned mine and only inhabited by oddball caretaker Spence and his family. Worse still, Spence is still waiting on a petrol drop to fill his truck and the storm has knocked out any communications with the outside world – including the nearest town 500 kilometres away. Nonetheless, Spence and his family seem helpful if not a little odd, and offer a welcome respite from the horror of the desert. Nina, whose mental and physical health is quickly deteriorating, is given a shot of adrenalin to keep her alive until they can fix communications and get her to hospital. Meanwhile, Mick holds Kelly in his lair and forces her to tell him that where they were heading, leading him straight to the mine compound. Rebecca, Brian, Oskar and Nina are forced to hide as Mick arrives at the compound and kills Spence and his family. Thinking quickly, Rebecca and Oskar manage to trap Mick, lock him in a shed, and hot-wire his ute. Trapping Mick is one thing but keeping him trapped is another, and as Mick works hard at escaping, the group hurriedly decide what to do. After discovering Mick’s lair on a map, and knowing they need more petrol if they have any hope of getting away from Mick once and for all – they decide to take a chance and drive both Mick’s F100 and Spence’s truck to Mick’s place – certain that he must have a stash of petrol. For Rebecca, it’s a last ditch attempt to find Danny; she knows that if she hopes to find him alive, she has to go to the lair. Rebecca and Brian manage to escape in the F100 towards Mick’s lair, but Mick manages to escape from the shed, killing Oskar and capturing Nina before they can get away. Unbeknownst to Rebecca and Brian, Mick is in hot pursuit – now driving Spence’s truck with a terrified Nina beside him. For Mick, the real fun is about to begin. |
Episode 6 - ReturnOblivious that Mick is right behind them, Rebecca and Brian navigate their way to Mick’s place – an old abandoned mine site near the Wolf Creek crater. Discovering petrol, Rebecca finally hears the one voice that makes her heart leap: Danny. Ignoring Brian’s protestations and leaving him behind with the petrol, Rebecca goes in search of Danny and manages to find him and Kelly – hurt, but still alive. Finally arriving at the lair with an almost catatonic Nina, Mick is back on home turf and ready to get down to business. When Mick manages to catch Brian trying to steal petrol, Brian offers to cut a deal. Figuring out Mick’s plan – that the tourists are just bait to create a final showdown with police – Brian suggests that Mick needs one of them to survive. And, of course, Brian is pretty certain he can fit the bill. Much to his surprise, Mick agrees and lets him go, but Brian’s escape is hindered by his realisation that Nina has the car keys, and furious at Brian’s betrayal, Nina refuses to hand them over. Rebecca and Danny are caught by Mick while Kelly manages to get away, and Brian kills Nina in a last bid to get the car keys to escape. Brian’s comeuppance is swift – Mick shoots him dead as he tries to escape. In a final confrontation with Mick, Rebecca finally understands that she and Danny aren’t getting out of this alive. More than that, she wants to get Mick where it hurts...and after buying time for Kelly to escape, she and Danny make their decision. They lovingly whisper their final goodbyes as she throws a match on the petrol. Mick’s lair explodes in a huge fireball, killing everybody in it. But has it killed Mick? Escaping the explosion, Kelly sets out for help - only to be caught up by Mick. Like a phoenix from the ashes, Mick has avoided serious injury in the explosion and offers Kelly a choice: either a quick, painless death now or the opportunity to walk as long as she can – a slower, more excruciating death. She chooses to walk on, and Mick lets her go. But as she collapses and may never get back up again, her phone pings. Incoming messages. Which means reception at last, but will she be able to reach her phone in time? |
