Episode 1 - Episode 1Series premiere. Manchester, 2019. As politician Vivienne Rook causes a scandal on live TV, the Lyons family is brought together when their youngest sibling Rosie goes into labor. At her bedside, brothers Stephen and Daniel, and grandmother Muriel, wonder what life will be like for baby Lincoln. Fast-forwarding five years into the future, to the London of 2024, Stephen and his wife Celeste worry about their socially-withdrawn daughter, Bethany, who's contemplating a major life choice. Back in Manchester, Daniel, who's now married to his boyfriend Ralph, finds himself falling for a Ukrainian refugee, Viktor. As the Lyons come together for Muriel's birthday, a call from their missing-in-action sister, Edith, brings extraordinary news that could change their lives forever.

Episode 2 - Episode 2With the world still reeling from the events of Hong Sha, Edith returns home for good but harbours a secret about what really happened while she was abroad. Daniel tries to build a new life with Viktor despite the risks. Rosie and Edith are amazed by Viv Rook's power and passion at a political rally for her MP campaign. Celeste remains disturbed by Bethany's fascination with technology, but a series of urgent texts make Celeste and Stephen realize their entire life is about to come crashing down.

Episode 3 - Episode 3As Stephen and Celeste try to rebuild their shattered lives, Daniel's world turns upside down when Viktor is forced to flee from Kiev. Edith's former life as an activist calls her back into action. Rosie loses her job to fully-automated food service. The Lyons children face some hard truths after a tragic event. Back at home, Celeste is left alone to cope with Bethany's obsessions, which lead her into terrible danger. The General Election sees Viv Rook's surprising rise to power.

Episode 4 - Episode 4As events heat up across Europe, Daniel embarks on a quest to bring Viktor home, with help from Edith. Rosie sets up her own business with new boyfriend, Jonjo. With her suspicions confirmed, Celeste exposes Stephen's secret life to the family. Meanwhile, Viv Rook sets her sights on the ultimate prize: No. 10 Downing Street.

Episode 5 - Episode 5A new Britain begins to take shape with Viv Rook as Prime Minister. Edith tries to investigate mysterious stories about The Disappeared, while Rosie finds her estate fenced off by the privatized police. As the climate worsens, flooding creates British refugees, forcing Muriel to reveal problems of her own. Stephen and Celeste unite to support Bethany when she’s chosen for an upgrade at work and, desperate for money, Stephen takes a job with his old friend Woody, leading to the most extraordinary meeting of his life.

Episode 6 - Episode 6Series finale. As Viv Rook’s regime tightens its grip, the entire Lyons family fights back. Rosie stands up to the troops surrounding her home and takes radical action with Lincoln’s help. When Bethany reveals the shocking truth about her father, Edith and Celeste form a secret alliance. The mysterious Erstwhile Policy turns deadly, forcing Edith and her girlfriend Fran to embark on a reckless, dangerous mission, for Viktor’s sake.
