Season 1 Episode Guide

Episode 1 - OZZY OSBOURNE

Ozzy Osbourne is renowned as one of the wildest and craziest frontmen of all time. His antics, including biting the head off a bat and snorting ants, have gone down in the annals of rock and rock history. But what made Ozzy so wild? In this revealing biopic we go back to Ozzy’s roots to discover the childhood trauma that forged the entertainer and made him want to ‘out crazy’ the rest.

Episode 2 - BRUCE DICKINSON

Nicknamed, ‘The Air Raid Siren’, for his trademark soaring high-pitched voice, the frontman of Iron Maiden Bruce Dickinson is widely considered to be one of the greatest rock vocalists of all time. From humble beginnings he attended an exclusive English boarding school. It was there he defied the bullies and began his love of singing.

Episode 3 - DAVID LEE ROTH

One of the most famous, flamboyant, wild and charismatic frontmen in the world David Lee Roth is unlike most lead singers. The frontman of Van Halen is the same person both on and off stage and craves attention and adulation at all times. Growing up the boy from rural Indiana was far from a typical farm-boy and turned into a ferociously bright teenager.

Episode 4 - ALICE COOPER

Famous for hits like ‘I’m Eighteen’, ‘Poison’ and the game changing track ‘School’s Out’, frontman Alice Cooper shocked and scandalised his way to stardom. He started life as Vince Furnier, an all-American son of a pastor, but rose to fame in the early '70s as his hellraising onstage alter ego, Alice Cooper - rock's first ‘villain’.

Episode 5 - STEVE TYLER

As part of Aerosmith, Steve Tyler was one of the most iconic, bombastic, charismatic frontmen. He saw major chart success with hits like “Dream On,” “Walk This Way,” and “Love in an Elevator”. They sold 70 million more albums than any other heavy rock band in US history. But despite phenomenal success, time and time again his career nose-dived into a death spiral with drug and alcohol addiction.

Episode 6 - GENE SIMMONS AND PAUL STANLEY

A band is almost always defined by its frontman and normally there is only one of them – ego, talent & chemistry demand it. But Kiss is different. They have two frontmen: Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley who somehow shared the limelight, and gave us a spectacle like no other - fire bombs, smoking guitars and spitting blood were all part of the act.

Episode 7 - JON BON JOVI

For almost 40 years Jon Bon Jovi has fronted one of the world’s biggest rock bands, Bon Jovi. With hits like Livin’ On A Prayer and Bad Medicine their album sales topped 130 million. Jon Bon Jovi is equally successful as a solo artist and Hollywood actor. But while most frontmen are by nature notoriously wild, and full of excess, Jon Bon Jovi is a focussed and a highly successful businessman.

Episode 8 - AXL ROSE

Axl Rose, lead singer of Guns N’ Roses, famous for hits like Paradise City and Sweet Child of Mine, is one of the most unpredictable rock stars of all time. At the height of his fame he systematically went about destroying everything around him – the band, his relationships, even himself.
