Episode 1 - The WeddingThe adopted daughter of Ray and Rosa Tivolli returns to Melbourne to marry her long-term boyfriend. Chai Li has been working overseas for an aid organisation and is ready to settle down. When things don't go as planned, Chai Li's close-knit family rally around to pick up the pieces.

Episode 2 - The AftermathBernadette returns to work for the first time after having her twins and finds that workplace relations are more challenging than the actual work. Obsessive mother Caroline is blindsided when Matt tells her he doesn't love her any more.

Episode 3 - The SecretLuce goes ballistic when he finds an inappropriate picture of his 11-year-old daughter Georgie on Facebook. He unites with his ex partner Maryanne in their care for their daughter. Caroline struggles to keep her crumbling marriage a secret from family members and Matt continues to hide the real reason he's leaving his family.

Episode 4 - The Rabbit HoleChai Li is shocked to learn Joel is back in town. She is torn between the man she still loves, and the love and fierce protection of her family. Can the two ever be reunited? Meanwhile, Luce has an ordinary night at the comedy club and a run-in with the law.

Episode 5 - The Silver LiningBernadette finds herself in a compromised position when she catches Matt with new love Alice. She confronts Matt with an uncomfortable ultimatum. Caroline is devastated when she learns the truth about Matt's reasons for leaving.

Episode 6 - The TruthHerb is called to his alcoholic mother Lenore's, house after she has a fall. He is forced to look after her and must face the reality she will never change. Alice starts to wonder if Matt is taking their relationship seriously.

Episode 7 - The MistakeBernadette tries to help a student whose welfare appears in jeopardy but her solution causes more problems than it solves. Meanwhile, Luce is traumatised when he unintentionally hurts Georgie, and Matt struggles to balance the competing opinions of his family over how to deal with the fallout from his marriage breakdown.

Episode 8 - The Right PlaceHerb joins Garrick's popular morning radio program and discovers the darker side to telling stories about his family and friends. Chai Li researches her adoption from Vietnam after deciding it's time to find her birth mother. Meanwhile Caroline goes on a surprising adventure with an exciting younger man.

Episode 9 - The MissingBeing a parent is a hard slog. For Matt, a few days with Carmody is far from smooth sailing when he has to take care of his son and his star AFL player at the same time. And Caroline, while basking in the attention of her young lover, can't avoid feeling alone when Carmody is away with Matt. Childless Chai Li is keen to start a family and asks her friend Ewan if he'd 'hypothetically' consider being a sperm donor.

Episode 10 - The B SideLuce and Bernadette find their boundaries separately challenged: Luce, by a dynamic violinist who is clearly attracted to him, and Bernadette, by her student Jesse who is looking for a family to love him. Meanwhile, a new relationship blossoms between Chai Li and Ewan, but will Herb try and stand in the way?

Episode 11 - The Jigsaw PieceChai Li returns to Vietnam in search of her birth mother. Herb pulls a prank on his radio co-host, Garrick Graham, which goes dreadfully wrong and Alice gives Matt some unexpected news.

Episode 12 - The Learning CurveRelationships are tested and strengthened when challenges are thrown at the three siblings. Luce swallows his ego to help Bernadette rehearse her students for a school concert. Chai Li incurs the wrath of Herb when she announces her decision to live with her birth mother in Vietnam, leading to fiery confrontation and unexpected outcome. And Matt finally apologises to Caroline for how he left her, clearing the way for a new understanding between them.

Episode 13 - The WindfallOpportunities abound for the family as money comes and money goes. Luce gets a windfall when an ad agency wants to use his song for a commercial and Herb buys into the bar to be a co-owner with Eloise. Given her family history, Bernadette must decide whether to be tested for the breast cancer gene and Matt and Caroline work well together on a case involving Matt's client, Lachie. Herb and Chai Li finally throw caution to the wind and surrender their feelings.
