Episode 1 - Santa's Little EngineThomas is sent to bring a real sleigh for the Fat Controller to ride in when he plays Santa at the Ulfstead Castle Christmas Fair. When the sleigh slips down the hill with the Fat Controller in it, Thomas has to rescue him! |

Episode 1 - Last Train for ChristmasIt is Christmas Eve and a lot of passengers are coming home to Sodor for the holiday. Connor can't carry all the passengers who are trying to get on his train. He promises to come back and collect them, but the snow keeps falling and the engines are struggling to keep the track clear. It becomes a race against time and all the engines have to work together to clear the tracks and get the passengers home in time for Christmas. |
Episode 1 - A New ArrivalWhen Thomas finds out that the Earl's Technology Fair will bring new inventions to Sodor, he sets out to prove that steam engines are the best inventions ever. |
Episode 1 - Edward the HeroEdward is given the special job of being the Sodor Search and Rescue. Edward decides that he needs to become a hero if he is to help Harold at the SSRC. He decides he must be strong, fast and stern to be a hero. |
Episode 1 - Marion and the DinosaursMarion has been digging along the mainline and is spending the night sleeping on a siding. A sound wakes her up and she sees a long line of dinosaurs going past in the moonlight! Marion thinks it must be a dream and tells Thomas as much the next day, but then the dinosaurs return and chase Marion all that way up to the castle. Where, thankfully, she discovers that they're actually model dinosaurs for the Earl's new Dinosaur Park! |
Episode 1 - Buckled Tracks and Bumpy TrucksOne sunny day, the tracks buckle and bend and Dowager Hatt gives the Fat Controller a new hat, which everyone calls a safari hat. The Fat Controller gets sick of everyone teasing him and tries to find a way to get rid of it. Meanwhile, a piece of rubbish from Whiff's trucks falls out and lands on the ground causing a fire. Belle derails due to the buckled rails, meaning a solution has to be found. |
Episode 1 - Molly's Special SpecialTo help a new engine named Molly feel special, Thomas has her empty trucks covered to make the others think she is pulling a very important load. |
Episode 1 - Steam Team to the Rescue!Sodor falls into chaos as the docks are overrun with deliveries and the diesels are out of action. The steam team pull together and work all through the night to save the day. |
Episode 1 - Thomas to the RescueDiesel starts a rumour that the Fat Controller plans to scrap the steam engines. The next day, however, the diesels get faulty oil and fall ill. |
Episode 1 - The Lion of SodorThomas has to transport something called 'The Lion of Sodor'. It is actually a statue, but Thomas thinks it is a real lion and is too excited to listen to the other engines who try to correct his mistake. |
Episode 1 - An Engine of Many ColoursAfter a crash, James is waiting at the Steamworks to be repaired. He hears that there might not be enough red paint to repaint him and gets worried he will be repainted a different colour. |

Episode 1 - Not So Slow CoachesAnnie and Clarabel are always complaining to Thomas about going too fast. Thomas likes to tease them, by going too fast or too slow, so Annie and Clarabel will ask him to go faster again. But when Annie and Clarabel find themselves coupled to Caitlin by mistake, they get a taste of what going fast is really like, and poor Thomas gets frightened that they might be taken to the mainland forever. |
Episode 1 - Henry in the DarkHenry is very excited as it's time for him to be repainted. But The Steamworks is very busy, and a frantic Kevin, by mistake, grabs some cans of luminous paint for Henry's paintjob. As soon as it gets dark Henry starts to glow, and Thomas, James and Gordon are convinced they've seen a ghost train. When Henry discovers he's been painted with the wrong paint he tries to explain, but nobody wants to listen. And when all the engines tell Sir Topham Hatt that they're too scared to leave Tidmouth Sheds at night, 'brave' Henry finds himself the only engine willing to work. |
Episode 1 - Signals CrossedToby is always nervous when he has to go through Knapford Junction with the big gantry signal over the track. One day Toby waits nervously for his signal to change, but it stays on red. He waits and waits, holding up other engines, but the signal doesn't change. The Fat Controller is very cross until everybody finally realises the signal is broken. |
Episode 1 - Gordon and SpencerGordon is jealous of Spencer, the world's fastest steam engine. But Spencer runs out of water on Gordon's Hill, making him the one in disgrace. |

Episode 1 - Thomas and the BillboardWhen a photographer comes to photograph the engines for a billboard Diesel accidentally obscures Thomas. Believing that Diesel did it on purpose, Thomas deliberately avoids him when he accidentally loses the billboard and has to get another arranged. |
Episode 1 - The Party SurpriseFreddie decides to organize a winter party at the wharf instead of at Mr. Percival's house, so that Colin the Crane can join in, but neglects to tell Mr. Percival, with disastrous results. |
Episode 1 - Gordon Runs DryGordon is a proud engine who believes he is the fastest and best. But when a stone from one of Paxton's trucks bounces off his boiler Gordon doesn't want to wait to be checked over and hurries on his way. |
Episode 1 - Two Wheels GoodBertie, Thomas and Spencer get into a debate about how many wheels is best. Bertie has four wheels, Thomas has six and Spencer is very proud of his twelve. But when Spencer breaks down while taking the Duke and Duchess to Callan Castle, Thomas must transport his passengers instead. Then Thomas finds the track blocked and Bertie takes over. And when Bertie has a flat tyre who should turn up, but the Thin Controller on his bicycle. Surely the Duke and Duchess can't ride to Callan Castle on his bike! Luckily, the Thin Controller has a better idea about how to help. |

Episode 1 - Thomas Saves the DayWhile a new station is being built, Thomas has to go around a sharp bend though Annie and Clarabel help him. But when they are sent to the works, will Thomas find the courage to go around the bend, or allow the Troublesome Trucks to cause havoc? |
Episode 2 - Marion And The PipeOne day while repairing an embankment, Marion strikes something hard and insists it must be the mast of a Viking Ship. It looks like a water pipe to Thomas but Marion is adamant that it isn't. But the next day Thomas notices flooding near the bank and then there is a landslip and Marion has to admit her mistake and help prevent an accident. |
Episode 2 - The Afternoon Tea ExpressStephen becomes very excited when the Earl gives him the special job of collecting the ingredients for the afternoon teas at the Castle. But Spencer teases him about being too old and slow. |
Episode 2 - Long Lost FriendIt's Christmas time on the Island of Sodor and Gator is coming back after working in a land far away for a long time. He is looking forward to seeing his old friend Percy. When Percy hears that Gator is back, he is very excited and immediately heads off to see him. But the two engines keep missing each other and soon they both begin to have doubts about whether the other one wants to see them after all. |
Episode 2 - Red vs. BluesOn match days Thomas is a very popular engine, because the Sodor football team wear blue. One match day a mainland team come to the island wearing red, and they cheer James because he is red too. Soon the two engines are competing with each other over who can bring the fans to the match faster. But by refusing to pick up supporters wearing the wrong colours, James ends up leaving the rival football team at the station since they are not yet wearing their kit and Thomas rushes right past the Fat Controller who is supposed to be the match referee. In all the confusion and delay there might not be a match at all! |
Episode 2 - James to the RescueJames is asked to be the Sodor Search and Rescue Engine but is horrified when the Fat Controller asks Toby to help him. |
Episode 2 - Tuneful TootsRusty is excited about taking the brass band on a tour of the Island before a big concert. But he has so much fun, he winds up going too far and running out of diesel oil. |
Episode 2 - Slippy SodorThomas has to wear a replacement funnel while his own is being fixed. Thomas is asked to carry some special bubble liquid for Mr. Bubbles. But the other engines laugh at him and he rushes by them spilling the bubble liquid. |
Episode 2 - Flatbeds of FearA delivery of pipes is being unloaded at Brendam Docks. But the engines start to hear scary spooky noises and soon Salty has them all convinced that it's the sound of the Flatbeds of Fear. Only Emily insists that there must be a sensible explanation, until she hears the sound herself and gets frightened. But it turns out Emily was right about their being a sensible explanation. The sound was just air blowing over the pipes! |
Episode 2 - Mucking AboutThomas loves to race against Max and Monty, the cheeky dumper trucks. But, after one near accident too many, he decides he must ignore them if he wants to get on and be Useful. But, without Thomas to race against, Max and Monty muck about at the building site and Oliver is damaged. Then they race against the other construction vehicles, to see who can get their work done quickest. Rather than driving all the way to the dump, Max and Monty chuck all their building debris over a wall� not realising that the rubble is blocking Thomas's branch line! When Thomas returns with Oliver, he ploughs into the pile of dirt and rocks and is derailed. So Max and Monty have to stay up all night clearing the line! |
Episode 2 - School of DuckWhen a storm destroys a classroom at Harwick School, Duck tries to find a coach to take the children in. |
Episode 2 - Excellent EmilyEmily is the only one who finishes her jobs on time, and thus is called "Excellent" by the Fat Controller. This goes straight to her smokebox, and she ignores the advice of all the other engines, which gets her into trouble. |
Episode 2 - Thomas and the PigsThomas is asked by Farmer Trotter to collect some straw for the piglets, which are soon to be born. But on the way, Thomas sees other things he thinks the piglets will like. |
Episode 2 - No Snow For ThomasIt is a snowy day, but Thomas doesn't want to wear his snow plough. So he decides to hide it on a siding and pretends he doesn't know where it is. The Fat Controller has no choice but to leave Thomas in his shed. |
Episode 2 - The Refreshment Lady's Tea ShopPeter Sam is given the assignment of helping the Refreshment Lady choose a new location for a tea shop. But she only wishes to have a stand in each place... |
Episode 2 - Millie and the VolcanoHarvey and the new engine Samson are putting the dinosaur models in place for the Earl's new Dinosaur Park. One of the dinosaurs swings towards Millie and gives her a fright. Samson and Harvey laugh, but Millie gets her own back by asking the groundsman to set his bonfire behind the model of the volcano and making them both think it's erupting! |
Episode 2 - Kevin's Cranky FriendCranky the crane is very busy down at Brendam Docks. He struggles to keep on schedule, so the Fat Controller decides to send Kevin from the Steamworks to help him. The only problem is that Cranky doesn't want any help. |

Episode 2 - Skarloey Storms ThroughWhen a storm comes to the hills of Sodor, the little narrow gauge engines are called to help bring the sheep to safety. Skarloey is frightened and whilst Rheneas and Peter Sam puff up and down with the sheep, Skarloey hides. |

Episode 2 - Who's Geoffrey?When Thomas causes a small accident by being silly he is so embarrassed that he blames it on someone else - called Geoffrey, an engine he just made up on the spur of the moment. |
Episode 2 - Respect for GordonGordon has a rattling firebox that the engines are teasing him for. So, he demands more respect, which only makes them respect him less. |
Episode 2 - Salty's SecretSalty, an old diesel, arrives on Sodor. He loves working by the sea but is most disappointed to find that the Fat Controller has sent for him to work at Centre Island Quarry. However, Salty is soon given a pleasant surprise. |
Episode 2 - Percy and the FunfairPercy is given the assignment of delivering coal while his friends get to help with a funfair, so Percy puts off his important coal delivery to help them. |
Episode 2 - No Sleep for CrankyCranky is always feeling, well... cranky! This is because every night he has to stay up late to load and unload goods. One day, Salty gets on the crane's nerves so much that Cranky drops some pipes and blocks the Main Line! |
Episode 2 - It's Only SnowThomas hates to take his snowplough during the winter, but he cheers up when he gets to take a Christmas Tree to the village with Toby. |
Episode 2 - Free the RoadsBulgy thinks that people should travel by bus instead of rail until he learns that having so many passengers is not so easy for the buses on their own. |
Episode 2 - FishThomas is hasty and decides to haul all the trucks with loads of fish he has to deliver all at once. He soon finds that in doing so, they are too heavy to pull in one shot. |
Episode 2 - Thomas and the Firework DisplayThomas wishes he could collect the fireworks stock to deliver to the Harvest Fireworks Display but feels most disappointed when James is chosen to do the job instead. James, however, breaks down. |
Episode 2 - Three Steam Engines GruffOne day Thomas notices a broken fence on Farmer McColl's farm and warns Trevor, the traction engine. Thomas thinks that's the end of it, but Percy thinks a broken fence sounds spooky and later that night is convinced he heard something under the bridge. Thomas thinks Percy is being silly, until he comes to the bridge and hears something too. It's like a moaning sound. Toby and Percy have heard it too and are convinced that it's a troll like in the story of the Three Billy Goats Gruff. They race over the bridge on the way back and leave Thomas to try scaring the troll away, if that really is what it is under there� |
Episode 2 - World of TomorrowWhen a pair of crooks steal the plans for a great new invention, there is a high-speed chase to try and get them back. |
Episode 3 - FogmanCyril is a fogman and the engines like him a lot. He warns them when there is fog ahead. Fat Controller decides to replace him with a very loud fog horn. But the foghorn causes a rockslide and Thomas is just down the line. |
Episode 3 - Away from the SeaWhen Salty the dockside diesel develops engine trouble he worries he will be sent away from the docks. And when a new steam engine Porter arrives to help out, Salty becomes convinced that Porter has been sent to replace him. |
Episode 3 - Spic and SpanA railway inspector is coming, and all the engines are determined to win the Cleanest Engine Award. Thomas and Percy find this difficult to do... |
Episode 3 - Sonny's Second ChanceSonny is trying to prove himself to be a useful engine so that he can stay working on Sodor, but nobody seems to trust him... nobody apart from Diesel, that is! But can Diesel be trusted? |
Episode 3 - Emily Knows BestEmily wants to prove to Toby that she's fit to be a queen by telling Percy of an easier route. But it might just worsen her reputation, since Mavis is now headed straight for Percy. |
Episode 3 - Snow TracksGordon thinks he's the strongest engine. Ignoring the advice of the Fat Controller not to climb any steep hills in the snow, Gordon does. In the process he sploshes Spencer, crashes into some trucks and derails Thomas. |
Episode 3 - Gordon Takes a TumbleGordon doesn't feel that it would be dignified for an express engine to pull trucks, but when Salty teases him, Gordon is determined to show him how an express engine pulls trucks. |
Episode 3 - Saved YouThomas has to take a fireman to Maithwaite for a medal ceremony and decides to try and help the engines on the way, but all his attempts end in failure. |
Episode 3 - Rosie's Funfair SpecialRosie and Emily are pulling a train for a fair, but Rosie wants to pull it alone to prove her worth. Her attempt goes badly wrong, causing all sorts of accidents, and she only ends up delivering two trucks. |
Episode 3 - Salty's Stormy TaleSalty is hurt when he hears Thomas and Percy making fun of him. But that night, being the clever diesel he is, he stops what could've been a terrible shipwreck. |
Episode 3 - Duncan And The Grumpy PassengerDuncan is the grumpiest engine on the narrow gauge railway. He is always complaining about one thing or another. But when Duncan gets a very grumpy passenger, Duncan finds his grumpiness very annoying. So he decides to do everything he can to make the grumpy passenger stop complaining. But Duncan soon learns that you can't make everyone happy. |
Episode 3 - The Frozen TurntableOne cold evening the steam engines return to Tidmouth sheds and discover the turntable is frozen stuck, meaning only one berth is accessible. Gordon thinks he should have it, but Thomas insists they need to save it for Percy. |

Episode 3 - Scruff's MakeoverScruff works with Whiff at the Waste Dump collecting rubbish trucks. When the Fat Controller sees how rusty and dirty Scruff looks, he insists that he goes straight to the Steamworks to be repainted. |
Episode 3 - Flour PowerThomas has to work with Diesel on Halloween, and he's up to his old tricks. But later, at the flour mill, Thomas gets him back with his own spook. |
Episode 3 - Chucklesome TrucksWhen Rebecca works with the Troublesome Trucks everyone expects the worst, but Rebecca defies expectations and has a very chucklesome day. |
Episode 3 - Harvey to the RescueHarvey the Crane Engine arrives in Sodor on trial. Some of the engines tease him for his strange looks but when Percy has an accident with some trucks, they soon change their minds. |
Episode 3 - Engine of the FutureHugo is one of the fastest and most unusual engines ever to arrive on Sodor. Shaped more like a zeppelin than a railway engine he even has a propeller at the back. But when Stephen declares that Hugo must be the engine of the future the other engines start to fear that he will take over and shun him, refusing to let him share their shed or even to talk to him. But Hugo has real limitations and Percy realises that they've all hurt his feelings. He and Thomas convince the others that they need to make up and accept Hugo as one of their friends. |
Episode 3 - Slow StephenStephen is the oldest engine on the Island of Sodor and people love to see him, so sometimes he makes special journeys round the island. He's still called the Rocket, though he's much slower than the other engines. Sometimes they have to slow down for him, which Gordon in particular doesn't like. But it's because Stephen travels so slowly that he notices that the Suspension Bridge is damaged and manages to alert the other engines in time to avoid a disaster! |
Episode 3 - Stop That Bus!Thomas feels sorry that Bertie doesn't get to travel on the rails so decides to take Bertie on a tour on Sodor by rail. Bertie rolls onto Thomas's flatbed and soon they're off on their adventure. |
Episode 3 - Number One EngineThomas gets into trouble when racing with Hong-Mei, another blue, number one tank engine. |
Episode 3 - Blown AwayA storm is approaching and Skiff and Joe, the Lighthouse Keeper, patrol Arlesburgh, helping everyone to prepare for it. Duck and Oliver don't think a 'tiny little railboat' should be out in a storm and it seems they are right when Skiff's anchor rope snaps and his sail unfurls. Skiff is terrified as he gets blown down the track and right into a tree that lightning has brought down across the branchline. When Skiff realises that both Oliver and Duck are heading towards the tree he manages to raise his sail to warn them and avert a serious accident. |
Episode 3 - The Water WheelThomas thinks he has been given very silly cargo until Hong-Mei explains that it is a very important water wheel, made from bamboo. |
Episode 3 - Timothy and the Rainbow TruckOne day Bill and Ben tell Timothy he needs to find a truck that is blue and red and yellow and brown. Bill and Ben insist the truck is real, so Timothy sets off to look for it. Bill and Ben think they are very funny, but Timothy has the last laugh when he actually finds some trucks that match their description and brings back smelly rubbish trucks bound for the dump. |
Episode 3 - Duncan The HumbugEveryone is happy at Christmas time except for Duncan the Scottish narrow gauge engine, who seems to be grumbling even more than usual. But Victor offers Duncan a new coat of paint if he can only not grumble for one whole day. Duncan rises to the challenge, but it is not so easy for an engine who likes to grumble to give up the habit of a lifetime. |
Episode 3 - Seeing Is BelievingThomas's friend Merlin comes to Sodor from the Mainland for the first time, and Percy wants to see him. |
Episode 3 - Percy's New WhistlePercy's loud whistle blowing to show that he can make as loud a sound as Arry and Bert's horns distracts some of the others and is told by the Fat Controller to only whistle at appropriate times. |
Episode 3 - Time for a StoryThe Fat Controller announces that the library is holding a special story time. He needs an engine to deliver the books and Thomas is so excited that he has been chosen he doesn't wait to for the books to be tied in place. |
Episode 3 - Sir Handel in ChargeThe Thin Controller asks Sir Hangel to ensure that a train full of logs is ready for Thomas to collect. This is an urgent Special, and the Thin Controller tells Sir Handel to ask the first engines he sees to help him. |
Episode 3 - The Truth About TobyToby stubbornly refuses to fill up with coal just because Henrietta keeps reminding him to. |
Episode 3 - Disappearing DieselsPaxton likes to be friends with everyone, diesels and steamies alike, but it's not easy to be friends with Diesel. Diesel gives Paxton a terrible fright when he makes him think that all the other diesels have disappeared. He hides and races away from Paxton. But when Diesel runs out of fuel, it is Paxton who takes him by surprise by offering him help. Paxton gives him a push to the fuel tank, and a taste of what friendship might be like. |
Episode 3 - Thomas's Tricky TreeDuncan and Peter Sam claim that Thomas does not know what a Christmas Tree looks like, so the angry tank engine refuses help from the other, nicer Narrow Gauge engines. |
Episode 4 - Scaredy EnginesOn Halloween, Edward tells some spooky ghost stories. On the same night, Thomas, Percy and Duck are sent to the Smelter Yard. Thomas says he can manage, so off Percy and Duck go. How brave is Thomas when he's on his own? |
Episode 4 - Thomas and the CircusThomas stubbornly insists on pulling the entire Circus Train by himself, but soon finds it too heavy to pull on his own. |
Episode 4 - Hugo and the AirshipWhen a zeppelin comes flying over the Island of Sodor, Henry and Percy think it must be Hugo flying. James says he knew it! He was never an engine at all! But when Hugo sees the airship he is even more excited than they are. He chases it right to the end of the quay at Arlesburgh Harbour and watches sadly as it flies off over the sea. Hugo is convinced that he is meant to fly too. He tries his best, but he can't get off the ground. He is very disappointed, until Thomas manages to convince him that he is a very special railway engine who truly belongs on the rails. |
Episode 4 - Trusty TrunkyThomas is very surprised when an elephant comes to his rescue. |
Episode 4 - Lost PropertyWhen railway inspectors come to the Island of Sodor, they start their inspection on Thomas' branch line. |
Episode 4 - No Steam Without CoalThere is a coal shortage at the Clay Pits. Timothy warns Bill and Ben to go easy and spare their coal. But Bill and Ben don't listen, teasing each other, and Timothy and messing about, until they do run out of coal! Luckily Timothy runs on oil, so he manages to keep going, delivering clay to the docks and bringing back coal for the tank engine twins. |
Episode 4 - A Bad Day for Harold the HelicopterPercy likes taking the Post Train but when he is held up at a broken signal one day, Harold decides to deliver the loads instead, but all at once, which turns out to be a very big mistake! |
Episode 4 - No More Mr Nice EngineHiro is one of the strongest engines on Sodor, and he is also very polite and gentle. Diesel tells Hiro that the only way to get the trucks to do what you want is to give them a biff and a bash, but Hiro is not convinced. |
Episode 4 - Thomas Goes to BollywoodWhen an action movie is filmed on the Indian railway, Thomas is desperate to be involved. |

Unfortunately Gordon is resting on the siding when Phillip comes over and when the express engine tells Phillip to "go away", he thinks it's a challenge and races off. When he gets to the other end of the line and Gordon still hasn't overtaken him, Phillip assumes he's won, causing Gordon to show him just how fast he really can be. Phillip is very impressed, but he is not in the least disheartened as he believes he still beat Gordon the first time. |

So when the chance comes to work with James, Toad is very excited. They love it there at first but soon take advantage of other engines so they can have a tour around the island. Meanwhile, Daisy has a run in with a bull and is derailed. When Thomas goes looking for the breakdown train, it is nowhere to be found! Ryan feels responsible � not just for Daisy but also to make sure Judy & Jerome get to be Really Useful. Ryans catches up with Judy and Jerome in the end and Sir Topham Hatt is reminded how useful they can be. He decides they will have a new home at Arlesburgh with their friends Ryan and Daisy. |

Episode 5 - Duck and the Slip CoachesIt's high summer when many more people visit the island. The Fat Controller is concerned about getting them all to their destinations on time. When Duck tells the other engines about the slip coaches they used on the Great Western Railway, which could be uncoupled at stations without stopping, James tells the Fat Controller and claims it's his idea. But James has never used slip coaches before and soon runs into trouble. |

He is so sulky and rude that the Fat Controller leaves him in his shed. Eventually James apologises and the Fat Controller gives him some work to do, but when James discovers that he's pulling waste trucks he starts sulking again and it is only when his friends help him laugh at himself that James finally manages to find a way to do what he has to do, and even enjoy it! |

Episode 6 - The Way She Does ItWhen the Fat Controller gives Daisy the job of conveying some special passengers up to the holiday town of Harwick, she gets carried away with the responsibility � deciding that, because she is a very special engine, they must be very special passengers! Not stopping for a group of children with sticky ice lollies and refusing to pull a dusty baggage truck results in the passengers not being able to perform their puppet show! Once the audience has been specially bussed in for the show, Daisy is humbled as she becomes a puppet stand for the performance of� a Punch & Judy puppet show! |

But Samson ends up taking his new responsibilities a little too seriously and collects up everything from the postman's bike to the Fat Controller's car. And Spencer ends up being given a second chance. |

Episode 6 - Skiff and the MermaidSkiff becomes convinced that a mermaid is coming to Sodor and is desperate to see her. Sir Topham Hatt, Bridget and Stephen are about to take a Railboat Tour in Skiff when he spies a fishy tail out to sea. He takes off with Sir Topham Hatt on board and they end up running aground in a cove, where Sir Topham Hatt behaves like a marooned castaway. Sodor Search and Rescue are sent to find them and, when they return, Skiff does finally see the mermaid - though she turns out to be a carved figurehead for the pirate ship. |

So when Oliver breaks down one night, Gator is very happy to help. He sets off to collect Oliver's trucks and promises to bring them back before morning. But Gator's lamp keeps going out and he decides not to stop or he will be late. Toad, the brake van, doesn't think it is safe and they argue, but in the end it is Toad's bright idea that helps Gator deliver the trucks in time. |

The other engines think it is very funny, but Mike insists that an engine that can't whistle is not a proper engine. Mike can be grumpy and tends to overheat, but when he loses his temper with a cow later that day he blows his own whistle cap right off and into a field. Now Mike can't whistle properly and he's not very happy about it. He can't see the funny side of the situation as easily as his friends Rex and Bert. |
