Season 3 Episode Guide

Episode 1 - Episode 1

It’s the hottest day of the year, so Gavin and Julie are prepared for the rush on beer and barbecues.

  

Episode 2 - Episode 2

Richard France picks Gavin’s brain on ideas for the new Valco Better store. It’s soon clear that Gavin’s far to safe and against the idea of change.

  

Episode 3 - Episode 3

A little gazebo called the ‘suggestion fort’ goes up in the store. It’s France’s latest brainwave – get the customers to say what they want from a Valco Better store, and Gavin’s forced to be the sounding board.

  

Episode 4 - Episode 4

France launches his latest initiative - ‘the fast lane’ – an aisle for all the essentials, so you can quickly shop and go. It’s even got its own till with an experienced checkout girl (Lisa) manning it.

  

Episode 5 - Episode 5

Leighton comes into work in a blazer - Richard France is taking him to head office to pitch his ideas up there. Gavin thinks this is a bad idea but France doesn’t listen.

  

Episode 6 - Episode 6

France feels that the staff aren’t getting Valco better, so some of them are asked to attend a workshop. He also announces the arrival of a ‘breakout zone’ (basically a cafe) – the builders start work today.

  

Episode 7 - Episode 7

Gavin is forced to wear a hoodie saying manager, and France has the door taken off Gavin’s office to make him more approachable. And with the building work disrupting the store, Gavin is slowly being driven mad.

  

Episode 8 - Episode 8

It’s a night shift – the store is closed and the staff are doing a final big refit before they re-open. Gavin is horrified when France’s wants to take all the signs down and move the stock so that the customers are lost.

  

Episode 9 - Episode 9

It’s the day of the big reopening and head office turn up for the occasion. Gavin is dismayed when they keep the customers waiting outside for hours but France is waiting for his celeb.

  

Episode 10 - Episode 10

Gavin’s off today - on forced leave. Rumours about his fall-out with France have got around and people are starting to wonder if he’s been sacked.

  

Episode 11 - Episode 11

Gavin returns and is trying to be a new man. Modern and forward thinking – just like France. But it’s rather tragic, and also too late, as France has closed ranks and will only speak to Julie.

  

Episode 12 - Episode 12

Gavin is a ghost of a manager, just trying to stay out of Julie and France’s way as they gear up for the Supermarket awards.

  

Episode 13 - Episode 13

The supermarket award judges are coming in. Julie is worried about the customer numbers being so down, but France has a dastardly plan.

  

Episode 14 - Christmas Special

The supermarket sitcom returns for a festive one-off that sees Gavin invite Julie over for Christmas dinner.
