Trivia: Studied ant behavior for her PhD at the UK Centre for Ecology & Hydrology.The BBC contacted her about her work for the show Life in the Undergrowth (2005).Before joining the BBC in 2004, worked as a music buyer, shop assistant, zoo keeper, park ranger and PhD scientist.While filming Planet Earth II (2016), a hyena got too close to her and they had to push it off with a camera.It took two and a half years to film the two episodes she produced and directed for Seven Worlds, One Planet (2019).Her seven-month-old daughter joined her on location in Australia while filming Seven Worlds, One Planet (2019).
