Episode 1 - Episode 1

In this first episode, the cooks have an hour and a half to prepare their ultimate burger with at least two sides designed to showcase their individual personality. The patties and fries sparkle with variety and influences as cooks rustle up a Welsh inspired rarebit burger, Indian spiced patty and pakoras, Nigerian suya spiced beef, Asian shredded beef in a bao bun and a plethora of cheeseburgers.

  

Episode 2 - Episode 2

This time the cooks have an hour and three quarters to prepare their ultimate fish dish with delicious accompaniments designed to showcase their individual personality. The cooks embrace the pescatarian brief in a creative and innovative fashion rustling up globally inspired dishes.

  

Episode 3 - Episode 3

Tonight the cooks have 2 hours to prepare their ultimate pie with delicious accompaniments designed to showcase their individual personality. The judges are all very invested in this one - for Dan, pies are one of his all-time favourite childhood dishes leading to a heated debate with Mary over whether pie pastry should be encased or lid only.

  

Episode 4 - Episode 4

Tonight the cooks have 2 and a half hours to prepare their ultimate roast with a potato dish and at least two other vegetable accompaniments designed to showcase their individual personality. The judges are very excited by this classic family favourite and Dan turns out to be passionate about roast potatoes and a purist about how they should be cooked.

  

Episode 5 - Episode 5

Tonight the cooks have 2 and a half hours to prepare their ultimate chocolate pudding designed to showcase their individual personality. The cooks are up against it as they set about trying to please Mary with a top-notch pud.

  

Episode 6 - Episode 6

Tonight the quarter-finalists have 2 and a half hours to prepare their ultimate sharing feast with at least four dishes designed to showcase their individual personality. The cooks are up against it as they try to impress the judges with four complementary dishes that must come together as a complete meal.

  

Episode 7 - Episode 7

Tonight the semi-finalists have 2 and a half hours to prepare their ultimate drinks party with a selection of four savoury canapes, one sweet canape and a drink of their choice designed to showcase their individual personality. The cooks are up against it as they try to impress the judges with bite-sized morsels that are both beautifully presented and full of flavour.

  

Episode 8 - Episode 8

Tonight it's the Final of Britain's Best Home Cook and Mary Berry, the queen of home cookery, top chef Dan Doherty and produce expert, Chris Bavin, raise the bar for the last time for the 3 remaining home cooks before one of them is crowned the winner.
