Back in LA, Hank and Charlie drop in on the now-married Marcy and Stu Beggs. Stu rushes Hank off to a meeting with megarich hip-hop mogul Samurai Apocalypse.

It appears to be just like old times with Karen and Hank, but the moment is ruined by the arrival of a drunk Richard Bates. Hoping to save her from the misery of the situation, Hank quickly kicks Karen out of the house and takes off with Bates to piece together the events of the night before.

Hank finds himself stuck with the unpleasant task of reading Tyler’s screenplay. Unfortunately for Hank, Tyler’s hiding some talent under that head of hair. Even more unfortunate is the fact that the screenplay references Becca. Charlie and Lizzie’s quadrilateral with Stu and Marcy heats up, but when MarStu’s bedroom games hit too close to home for Charlie, it may be off to therapy for the four of them.

Hank, down an agent and best friend, finds reason to crash with his two favorite ladies — Karen and Becca. There’s still money to be made, so it’s time for him to find new representation with Hollywood power agent Larry Levine. Lizzie’s big break has arrived – a role in Santa Monica Cop, via a special favor from Stu Beggs. Charlie, distraught over his personal losses, seeks comfort from Marcy.

  

Episode 59 - Season 5, Episode 11: The Party

Hank has finally overstayed his welcome at the house of Karen and Richard Bates, so it’s time to hit the road. But not before one last stop at Malibar, where he runs into Lizzie, who uses her newly acquired acting chops to lure him back to the Runkle Manor. Once there, Hank is surprised by everyone he loves and loathes – Karen, Becca, Charlie, Marcy, Stu, Bates and his creepy sponsor, Gabriel. Even Samurai Apocalypse and Kali show up. It’s not a party until someone gets hurt. Luckily for these party-goers, Hank has it in him for one final run-in with Tyler.

Hank hits the local watering-hole, only something’s amiss. Not only does Mr. Moody find himself surrounded by shadowy figures, but the bartender is an old, departed friend. Is Hank dreaming or has he finally made it to hell? Next it’s onto the set of Santa Monica Cop where Sam’s jealousy – and fondness for firearms – gives Charlie an opportunity to show just how much he loves his best friend and number one client. Later, Hank’s ex-girlfriend surprises him with a way for them to be together forever.

Hank Moody may have survived a murder-suicide attempt by his lovelorn ex, Carrie, but she’s still haunting his dreams. Charlie takes his best friend and star client to meet rocker Atticus Fetch about giving A Crazy Little Thing Called Love the Broadway treatment. A revelation about Becca prompts a tailspin that causes Charlie, Karen and Marcy to take action with Hank.

Hank reluctantly heeds the advice from his family and friends, but muse to many-a-rock-star, Faith may be his light at the end of the tunnel. Charlie runs into out-and-proud movie star Robbie Mac and finds himself taking drastic action in order to land the Oscar® winner at UTK. Marcy loses her resolve with Stu, while Karen lands a new job.

Hank and Faith attend a funeral where they meet up with the bereaved’s tour manager Krull, grieving widow and childhood pal Atticus Fetch. Later, Hank is found in a compromising position by Karen. Robbie Mac and Ken take Charlie out on the town which doesn’t sit as well with Marcy as it does with their son Stuart.

Hank and Charlie meet with Robbie Mac, but the project on the table is a little out of even Hank Moody’s wheelhouse. Hank then reconnects with his God Hates Us All executive, Ali Andrews. Marcy, Ophelia and Karen commiserate over dinner. Becca demonstrates that she inherited the best parts of her father during a reading of her latest work.

Ken discovers Charlie’s secret. Atticus Fetch sends Hank and Charlie a hunt, so they enlist the help of Hank’s daughter, Becca , Gabriel, Faith, Shari and a well-connected contact. Marcy makes a decision about Stu that is influenced by her man-hating spiritual guide, Ophelia Robbins.

Karen asks Hank to intervene with Becca. Later, the boys board Air Force 69 with Atticus Fetch, to fly to NYC to present the songs for the Broadway adaptation of A Crazy Little Thing Called Love. Charlie faces a serious case of aerophobia, but he’s got The Widow to take his mind off things. Atticus is surprised by Faith, while his wife surprises Hank.

Hank returns from his trip to find Becca in need of help. His plan for her backfires when they go to visit Atticus Fetch and his current house guest MARILYN MANSON. Hank has an encounter that puts him in a very awkward position with Karen. Charlie takes Stuart out for the day and has an encounter of his own.

The reviews are in for the first draft of A Crazy Little Thing Called Love: The Musical. Hank looks for inspiration from Faith to help get him to the next level. Hank’s constructive criticism leads Becca contemplating alternate careers. Charlie and Stu join forces to win back Marcy, but first, they’ll have to pry her from the man-hating clutches of Ophelia Robins.

Atticus throws a party. Faith provides the girls, The Dealer provides the recreation, and Hank’s old friend provides the entertainment. Hank gets a taste of his own medicine with Karen. Atticus tries to recreate rock ‘n roll folk lore with one of his biggest fans, while Charlie reunites with The Widow.

Charlie’s performance anxiety leaves Marcy wondering what she got herself back into.

Hank’s first day in the Santa Monica Cop writer’s room brings aggravation by his new co-workers. Hank is surprised during a visit to Levon’s apartment. Things start looking up for Charlie and Marcy when he meets Rath’s new assistant. Karen gets an unexpected surprise.

  

Episode 75 - Season 7, Episode 3: Like Father Like Son

Hank sits in on a casting session while Levon tries to bond with Rath’s assistant, Melanie. Hank gets his first episode assignment, much to the chagrin of co-workers Terry and Hugh. Charlie hopes to fix things with Marcy, while Karen is ready to throw in the towel with Hank.

  

Episode 76 - Season 7, Episode 4: Dicks

Hank, Levon and Julia celebrate Julia’s new role. Levon hopes for some alone time with Melanie, but three’s a crowd with The Director in the way. Money troubles add to Charlie and Marcy’s marital unrest, but new client Goldie may put Charlie back in the black.

  

Episode 77 - Season 7, Episode 5: Getting the Poison Out

While Julia is with Rath, Hank and Levon have a night out. Levon has the best night of his life with Nikki, while Karen, Hank and Marcy are forced to endure the company of Nikki’s creepy friend. Charlie may have gotten in over his head with his new client Goldie.

  

Episode 78 - Season 7, Episode 6: Kickoff

It’s the Santa Monica Cop kickoff party at Rath’s. Hank has an intimate notes session with the show’s female lead, Amy Taylor Walsh, while the male lead, Hashtag Black has his eye on Julia. While Charlie manages head-case client Goldie, Stu makes him an offer. The party ends early when Levon breaks Rath’s cardinal rule.

  

Episode 79 - Season 7, Episode 7: Smile

Rath demands a rewrite of Hank’s script. Julia’s boss Dr. Dan gives career advice, but Hank and Levon have other ideas. Charlie and Marcy consider Stu’s offer, while Atticus’ old rock ‘n roll butler Krull offers an alternative solution to their money woes.

  

Episode 80 - Season 7, Episode 8: 30 Minutes or Less

On Hank’s episode of Santa Monica Cop, he encounters problems with Hashtag Black, so The Director leaves Hank to get things back on track. Julia proves to be a distraction. Levon gets a big opportunity. News of Stu’s offer leads to fisticuffs.

  

Episode 81 - Season 7, Episode 9: Faith, Hope, Love

Hank flashes back to turbulent times with Karen, a confused young Becca and their days with a happier Charlie and Marcy. Hank’s run-in with a nun helps him put things into perspective.

  

Episode 82 - Season 7, Episode 10: Dinner With Friends

Hank entices Karen into dinner at an old place, but Julia interrupts their romantic evening. Later, Charlie, Marcy, Krull, and Levon -- accompanied by his new “friend” Mi Suk Kok -- bring even more drama. Rath shows up with Eddie Nero, currently in “research mode” for his upcoming appearance on Santa Monica Cop. Stu’s assault on Charlie’s manhood sends the night into chaos.

  

Episode 83 - Season 7, Episode 11: Daughter

The ratings are in for Santa Monica Cop. Hank may be out of a job, which sends Charlie reeling. With their revenue stream drying up Marcy decides to accept Stu’s offer. Karen arrives with a special guest – Becca, who makes a big announcement. However, Karen’s plans for a family reunion are spoiled by Levon.

  

Episode 101 - Season 7, Episode 12: Grace

Hank is still not on board with Becca’s plans, but Karen massages the situation. At Malibar, Hank and Levon reconnect with Hank’s old student, Tara. Later, Hank reassures Julia and invites her to a special dinner. While urging Charlie to save Marcy, Hank makes a life-altering decision.
