Episode 3 - Conviction (Pilot)

The newest legal drama from the creator of "Law & Order" featuring young prosecutors faced with daunting cases. -- This newest legal drama series from the Emmy Award winning creator of the "Law & Order"-brand series is a fast-paced, character-oriented story focusing on young assistant district attorneys in New York who handle tough, high-profile cases that challenge their experience. Nick Potter (Jordan Bridges) leaves a cushy private firm to join the chaos of the New York District Attorney's office, headed by new bureau chief Alexandra Cabot (Stephanie March, reprising her role from "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit"). Their current assignments include prosecuting a drug dealer, while newbie Sara Finn (Julianne Nicholson) frets when she loses key evidence in her own case. But the Assistant D.A.s are shocked when a member of their team is gunned down -- and one of their own might be responsible. Milena Govich, Eric Balfour, J. Episode 4 - Denial

Steele must charge 14-year-old-boy who murdered his brother as an adult -- Deputy District Attorney Steele (Anson Mount) is forced to prosecute Evan, a 14-year-old boy (Jordan Burt) who murdered his big brother with a baseball bat as an adult crime -- but the teenager's pushy father takes a hard-line stance in court that could cost his only living son dearly. Meanwhile, Assistant D.A. Peluso (Eric Balfour) investigates a promising high school athlete Rashard (Roderick Pannell) arrested for a hate crime against a gay man who was blackmailing him. Rossi (Milena Govich) tries to babysit an addicted prostitute to testify in her own rape trial. Also, a jealous Steele checks on Rossi's romantic activities; Finn (Julianne Nicholson) preps for a blind date and Peluso tries to help out a loan shark to whom he's in debt. Stephanie March, J. Episode 5 - Breakup

Finn (Julianne Nicholson) investigates the suspicious suicide of a 12-year-old girl whose mother said her daughter was dying of cancer, but her autopsy shows otherwise. Potter (Jordan Bridges) goes to a birthday party and when his friend takes out cocaine he leaves, but his friend is arrested later that evening. He seeks help from Potter, who turns the case over to Desmond (J. August Richards) without filling him in on the details of the night. Cabot (Stephanie March) is on an anti drug campaign, and Peluso (Eric Balfour) has to prosecute a grandmother for heroin possession, when it was her grandson who was selling the drugs. Also starring Milena Govich and Anson Mount.

  

Episode 6 - Indebted

Billy Desmond (J. August Richards) enlisted to prosecute a superstar rap producer charged with murder; Nick Potter (Jordan Bridges) goes on a ride along with two ghetto cops, landing Potter in a meeting with Internal Affairs; Jessica Rossi (Milena Govich) prosecutes a wife beater, while wrestling with the same problem at home, when her mother tells her she's leaving her father for being abusive, and Christina Finn (Julianne Nicholson) gets caught up in a case with a spoiled diplomat's son and a strip club. Also starring Anson Mount, Stephanie March and Eric Balfour.

  

Episode 7 - Savasana

Finn (Julianne Nicholson) gets dragged into a tragic shaken baby case and the decision to pull life support from the infant. Against direct orders from his boss, Potter (Jordan Bridges) does not settle a case but wins the case anyway; Desmond (J. August Richards) continues his undefeated winning streak at work and has a one night stand with a woman who works at the courthouse, and Steele (Anson Mount) cancels a date with Rossi (Milena Govich) and gets intimate with Cabot (Stephanie March), right before she makes a stunning announcement. Eric Balfour also stars.

  

Episode 8 - Madness

Billy Desmond's (J. August Richards) routine shift at a psychiatric ward turns the system upside down: Brian Peluso (Eric Balfour) gets pressure from his recently reunited girlfriend; Christina Finn (Julianne Nicholson), who is light on case work, is loaned out to a hard-driving, nasty prosecutor; Alexandra Cabot (Stephanie March) feels the pressure to hire an image consultant; Nick Potter (Jordan Bridges) fills in for Desmond on a bail reduction case that has tragic consequences, and Jessica Rossi (Milena Govich) finds herself in the middle of a family battle when prosecuting a deaf girl's boyfriend for stabbing the girl's father. Anson Mount also stars.

  

Episode 9 - True Love

Nick Potter (Jordan Bridges) becomes a victim when he is robbed and beaten at gunpoint after trying to get a witness to testify -- Brian Peluso (Eric Balfour) gets ready to move in with his girlfriend until he learns of her infidelity; Jessica Rossi's (Milena Govich) uncertain case involves a model who claims she was beaten and raped by a high-profile professional; Jim Steele's (Anson Mount) case involves a gay couple who recently broke up and the "suicide" of one is questioned when his former partner is charged with murder and Christina Finn (Julianne Nicholson) meets a hot doctor when he becomes her star witness for a case. Episode 10 - Downhill

ADA Nick Potter (Jordan Bridges) tackles easy case to win until a priest wants the charges dropped -- ADA Jessica Rossi (Milena Govich) is close to getting a conviction on a rape case until Bureau Chief Alexandra Cabot (Stephanie March) steals away her defendant for her own insurance fraud prosecution; while ADA Billy Desmond (J. August Richards) decides to network with an exclusive group of upwardly mobile black men, but the high powered connections come with a price, and his colleague Christina Finn (Julianne Nicholson) gets caught in a landlord/tenant lawsuit. Eric Balfour and Anson Mount also star.

  

Episode 11 - The Wall

ADA Billy Desmond (J. August Richards) and Jim Steele (Anson Mount) have uphill battle prosecuting a case where a teenager dies during choking game -- ADA Brian Peluso (Eric Balfour) faces a 'wall of blue' when prosecuting a cop-shooter; Christina Finn (Julianne Nicholson) and her colleague ADA Nick Potter (Jordan Bridges) have been summoned to Bureau Chief Alexandra Cabot’s (Stephanie March) office where she sends them to acting class to improve their court appearance, and ADA Jessica Rossi (Milena Govich) has to contend with her dysfunctional family.

  

Episode 12 - Deliverance

Noted female attorney kills husband and represents herself in court -- A respected female attorney (guest star Reiko Aylesworth) kills her husband, and goes head-to-head against Jim Steele (Anson Mount) when she decides to defend herself in the courtroom. Milena Govich, Julianne Nicholson, Stephanie March, Eric Balfour, Jordan Bridges, J. August Richards also star.

  

Episode 13 - Indiscretion

Steele must overcome stubborn father to prosecute rape case -- Jim Steele (Anson Mount) tries to prosecute a rape case but the plaintiff's father stands in the way. A.D.A. Potter (Jordan Bridges) takes over an easy drug case from colleague Rossi (Milena Govich) but bungles it badly; A.D.A. Desmond (J. August Richards) has to deal with an Upper West Side couple and a wacky fortune teller; Bureau Chief Cabot (Stephanie March) has an elegant engagement party. Julianne Nicholson and Peluso Eric Balfour also star.

  

Episode 14 - 180.8 / Hostage

A young woman leaves an after-hours bar and is found murdered -- The bouncer at the bar is the prime suspect in the case; while a wild shoot-out in the courthouse finds members of the ADA office in a tense and emotional hostage situation. Milena Govich, Julianne Nicholson, Stephanie March, Eric Balfour, Jordan Bridges, J. August Richards and Anson Mount star.
