Episode 1 - Episode 1The story picks up four months after the end of the first season, where the impact of Beverly's tryst with Matt is still being felt. Sean and Beverly are now living apart. Beverly holds out hopes that the marriage can be repaired, but thus far Sean's having none of it. He also has no interest in resuming his former friendship with Matt. However, the three must remain on their best professional behavior, as they are forced to work together every day on their show Pucks!

Episode 2 - Episode 2Matt misses his friendship with Sean. It frustrates him that the Englishman is still angry with him for sleeping with his wife and in attempts to win him back - Matt buys Sean a flashy convertible sports car. Although tempted to take it, Sean is determined to stick to his principles. The next morning, he's appalled when Beverly turns up to the set in a matching car. Later that day, Jamie Lapidus surprises Matt by paying a visit to his dressing room.

Episode 3 - Episode 3When Merc's father dies, the race is on to find the most impressive way of sending one's condolences. With Pucks! ratings in a freefall, they are urged to find the most extravagant way possible to impress Merc in his time of need. Swept up in the pressure to curry favour with Merc, Sean and Beverly find themselves accompanying Matt and Morning to the star-studded funeral.

Episode 4 - Episode 4The ratings for Pucks! are a disaster. Carol informs Sean and Beverly that there's one positive sign: network research shows that the students in Pucks! are a hit with a key younger demographic. Sean and Beverly are ordered to cut Matt's part down and write more for the boys. It doesn't take long for Matt to notice his scenes are shrinking, while floppy-haired teen heartthrob Stoke is getting more and more storylines. Sean and Beverly are forced to come clean, and Matt is livid.

Episode 5 - Episode 5Matt's stalker Labia becomes Sean's Facebook friend and tracks the guys down at a restaurant. When Matt spots her, he immediately throws her out, reminding her about the restraining order that states she can't come within 500 feet of him. Later, Matt tells Sean and Beverly that Labia's been obsessed with him for years. He finally had to take legal action to keep her away; but only after sleeping with her first. Meanwhile, it's the fifth anniversary of Merc and Carol's affair. He plans a lavish trip to Cabo to celebrate. Jamie, informed that her husband will be "away on business," takes the opportunity to suggest a dirty weekend with Matt in Napa.

Episode 6 - Episode 6Merc persuades Matt to try and get one of his Friends cast mates to guest star on Pucks! to help improve the show's dismal ratings. It quickly proves to be a daunting task. Meanwhile, it's not just the ratings that are sagging. The special effects department is forced to step in to help conceal Morning's fallen cheek implant. As if Sean and Beverly don't have enough to worry about, Matt asks them to write his speech for Merc's upcoming 'Man of the Year' event. It's a thankless job that turns out to be far more difficult than it first appeared.

Episode 7 - Episode 7Sean and Beverly are called into Merc's office. It seems that the network has real concerns about Matt's recent weight gain. The network is convinced that Matt's expanding waistline is affecting the ratings and demands that Sean and Beverly confront Matt about his additional poundage. The star doesn't take the news well. Meanwhile, after much coaxing, Beverly agrees to go on a date with Morning's charming, handsome brother Rob.

Episode 8 - Episode 8Sean and Beverly are horrified to discover Labia lounging in Matt's dressing room. They're even more appalled when Matt admits to a drunken booty call with his stalker the night before. Matt tries to downplay the situation, but Beverly and Sean are having none of it. If Matt's ex-wife finds out he's let his stalker into his life, she'll never let him see his kids again. Over at the network, Merc is fighting for his career. A press story has revealed that he developed the smash hit "talking dog" comedy, but sold it to a rival network. Things become even tenser when Carol gets a call from the head of the other network, Elliot Salad.

Episode 9 - Episode 9While on a hike with Carol, Beverly accidentally lets slip that Jamie Lapidus has been having an affair with Matt. Carol is thrilled, but Beverly makes her promise to keep the news to herself. That promise is soon broken. It's the night that Merc is to receive his 'Man of the Year' award and as he and Carol are leaving the office for the event, she can't resist telling him about Jamie's affair with Matt.
