Episode 1 - Everybody Hates RejectionRochelle (Tichina Arnold) decides to host a neighborhood watch meeting after Julius' (Terry Crews) truck is stolen, but her good intentions quickly turn competitive when her new neighbor, Louise (Whoopi Goldberg), thinks she'd make a better block captain than Rochelle. Meanwhile, Chris (Tyler James Williams) sets out to break his streak of bad luck with the ladies by asking out a new girl in the neighborhood, Yvette (guest star Cherelle Noyd). In sharp contrast to his older brother, Drew (Tequan Richmond) volunteers to be a crossing guard and can't keep the girls away, causing a major traffic problem.

Episode 2 - Everybody Hates the Class PresidentHoping to make a better life for himself at Corleone Junior High, Chris (Tyler James Williams) throws his hat in the ring for Class President and asks Greg (Vincent Martella) to be his running mate. However, when an election poll reveals that Chris has no chance of winning without someone more popular on the ticket, Chris drops Greg like a hot potato, igniting a rivalry between the two best friends. Meanwhile, Rochelle (Tichina Arnold) takes it personally when Julius (Terry Crews) is diagnosed with high blood pressure, so she decides to take drastic measures to reduce his stress.

Episode 3 - Everybody Hates ElectionsAfter failing to make an impression at the town hall meeting, Chris (Tyler James Williams) realizes that he needs to deliver the best campaign speech of all time if he’s going to win the election for class president, but when his opponent, Caruso (Travis Flory), steals his speech, Chris is driven to extreme measures. Meanwhile, Rochelle (Tichina Arnold) rents out the upstairs apartment to Mr. Omar (Ernest Thomas, “What’s Happening!!”), who has a revolving door of lady friends staying with him. Debbie Allen makes a cameo appearance.

Episode 4 - Everybody Hates A LiarAfter Chris (Tyler James Williams) accidentally misleads the neighborhood into thinking he and Tasha (Paige Hurd) are dating, Rochelle (Tichina Arnold) gets quite an earful from Tasha’s grandmother, Louise (guest star Whoopi Goldberg). Meanwhile, Julius (Terry Crews) panics when he finds out the redemption center for his precious trading stamps is closing its doors, and Drew (Tequan Richmond) feels neglected by Rochelle, who doesn’t have much time for him lately.

Episode 5 - Everybody Hates MalvoChris (Tyler James Williams) is honored when Doc (Antonio Fargas) finally entrusts him with watching the cash register, but the situation goes from good to really bad when Chris is robbed by the neighborhood’s notorious repeat-offender, Malvo (guest star Ricky Harris). Then, when Chris refuses to tell Doc who robbed the place for fear that Malvo will retaliate, Doc has no other choice but to fire Chris. Meanwhile, Julius (Terry Crews) surprises the family with an outdated betamax machine, but Tonya (Imani Hakim) gets in big trouble when she accidentally tapes a cartoon over his precious “stories” (aka soap operas).

Episode 6 - Everybody Hates the Buddy SystemChris’ (Tyler James Williams) new principal, Principal Edwards (Jason Alexander, “Seinfeld”), decides that the best way to solve the tension between Chris and Caruso (Travis Flory) is to pair them up as buddies on the school field trip. Meanwhile, Rochelle (Tichina Arnold) discovers that her favorite hoop earrings are missing and Tonya’s (Imani Hakim) name is written all over the crime. Julius (Terry Crews) sets out to find a Wayne Gretzky hockey jersey for Drew (Tequan Richmond).

Episode 7 - Everybody Hates PromisesAfter the school newspaper runs several inflammatory stories about Chris (Tyler James Williams) and his class presidency, Chris must defend himself against Caruso (Travis Flory) and his classmates at an impeachment hearing. Meanwhile, Rochelle’s (Tichina Arnold) freeloading brother, Michael (guest star Earthquake), comes to stay with them after his mother throws him out of the house, but he quickly gets on Julius’ (Terry Crews) last nerve. Also, Drew (Tequan Richmond) puts Tonya (Imani Hakim) through a vigorous training before teaching her how to jump double-dutch.

Episode 8 - Everybody Hates ThanksgivingWhen Julius' (Terry Crews) successful younger brother Louis (guest star Wayne Brady) joins the family for Thanksgiving, Julius gets in the competitive spirit, determined to make the perfect meal. However, things go badly after Rochelle (Tichina Arnold) realizes they forgot to put the turkey in the oven and Chris (Tyler James Williams) burns the family-favorite macaroni and cheese.

Episode 9 - Everybody Hates SuperstitionAfter Julius (Terry Crews) lends Chris (Tyler James Williams) a pair of lucky socks, Chris begins to notice that he can do no wrong. Meanwhile, Drew (Tequan Richmond) and Tonya (Imani Hakim) decide to play their parents, Rochelle (Tichina Arnold) and Julius, against each other. Drew enters his school's talent show, but no one in the family has the heart to tell him he has a bad voice.

Episode 10 - Everybody Hates KrisJulius (Terry Crews) and Chris (Tyler James Williams) pick up extra work for the holidays, dressing up as Santa Claus and one of his elves to entertain the kids at a local department store. Unfortunately, Julius gets fired for terrorizing the kids when they make the mistake of asking for expensive gifts, and Chris lands in the hospital where he meets a mysterious man named Kris (guest star Richard Lewis).

Episode 11 - Everybody Hates EggsFor a classroom lesson on parenting skills, Chris (Tyler James Williams) and Greg (Vincent Martella) are each assigned an egg to care for as if it were their own child, but the task proves quite challenging, especially after Chris’ mom (Tichina Arnold) decides to show him what it really means to be a parent. Meanwhile, Julius (Terry Crews) puts the family under a microscope after he learns that their electricity bill is over budget by 25 dollars, and Tonya (Imani Hakim) is scared to go to sleep because she suspects Drew (Tequan Richmond) is a werewolf. Todd Bridges guest stars as Doc’s nephew, Monk.

Episode 12 - Everybody Hates Hall MonitorsHoping to get more respect from his classmates and to stop being Caruso’s (Travis Flory) punching bag, Chris (Tyler James Williams) signs up to be a hall monitor. However, when the kids still don’t take him seriously, Greg (Vincent Martella) suggests that Chris step up his game. Unfortunately, his newfound power as hall monitor goes right to his head, even threatening his friendship with Greg. Tonya (Imani Hakim) discovers that her girlfriends are only hanging out with her to get closer to Drew (Tequan Richmond). A sleep-deprived Julius (Terry Crews) struggles to get a little peace and quiet when he can’t seem to escape Rochelle (Tichina Arnold) and her constant complaints about her new job.

Episode 13 - Everybody Hates Snow DayWhen Chris (Tyler James Williams) accidentally shows up for school on a “snow day,” he and Principal Edwards (Jason Alexander) are stuck with each other until they can reach Chris’ parents. Back at home, Julius (Terry Crews) realizes that Chris is missing and sets out on foot to find him. Meanwhile, when Rochelle (Tichina Arnold) finds herself the victim of a subway robbery, she can’t help but give the criminal a piece of her mind – and she has plenty to say.

Episode 14 - Everybody Hates The SubstituteA scholarly substitute teacher (guest star Orlando Jones) makes Chris’ (Tyler James Williams) life a living hell by holding him to a higher standard than his classmates. Meanwhile, Tonya (Imani Hakim) learns that she can always get her way by accusing Drew (Tequan Richmond) of hitting her, and Mr. Omar (Ernest Thomas) gets on Julius’ (Terry Crews) last nerve when he takes advantage of his neighborly generosity. Todd Bridges plays Doc’s nephew.

Episode 15 - Everybody Hates Cutting SchoolWith their teacher Ms. Morello (Jacqueline Mazarella) out for the day, Chris (Tyler James Williams) and Greg (Vincent Martella) decide to cut school and go see the movie "Ghostbusters." The boys think they're home free until they run into Ms. Morello at the movie theatre. Meanwhile, Drew (Tequan Richmond) and Tonya (Imani Hakim) are a little nervous when Rochelle (Tichina Arnold) decides to help out at their school's book fair. Julius (Terry Crews) spends a frustrating day at the DMV trying to renew his license.

Episode 16 - Everybody Hates Chain SnatchingWhen Chris (Tyler James Williams) thwarts Malvo's (guest star Ricky Harris) attempt at stealing a gold chain from Vanessa (Jackee Harry), Malvo gives Chris one day - or suffer the consequences - to produce a replacement necklace. Meanwhile, Rochelle's (Tichina Arnold) imagination runs wild when she discovers Julius (Terry Crews) has been hiding a credit card from her for over 15 years. Tonya (Imani Hakim) tries desperately to be the 98th caller to a radio station in order to win tickets to a Billy Ocean concert.

Episode 17 - Everybody Hates DJ'sWhen the neighborhood DJ is arrested in the middle of a party, Chris (Tyler James Williams) steps in for him and proves to be a huge hit with the crowd. Unfortunately, his new career takes a bad turn when he borrows his mom's (Tichina Arnold) James Brown album and accidentally scratches it. Meanwhile, Julius (Terry Crews) takes Drew (Tequan Richmond) to a magic show, but passes out when he sees a rabbit - a phobia dating back to his childhood.

Episode 18 - Everybody Hates BaseballChris is put in a difficult position when he must choose between going to a baseball game with his dad (Terry Crews) and Drew (Tequan Richmond) and going to the movies with Tasha (Paige Hurd). Rochelle (Tichina Arnold) is overcome with motherly guilt after she realizes she forgot to mail Tonya's (Imani Hakim) letter to the Billy Ocean fan club, and Rochelle’s freeloading brother, Michael (Earthquake), asks Vanessa (Jackee Harry) on a date, but has to borrow money from Julius to pay for it.

Episode 19 - Everybody Hates GamblingChris (Tyler James Williams) becomes Bed-Stuy's favorite odds-maker after Doc (Antonio Fargas) discovers he has a natural talent for predicting a game's outcome. However, Chris' lucky streak comes to a crashing halt when a bookie, Paulie (Vincent Pastore), shows up at Chris' front door. Meanwhile, Tonya (Imani Hakim) decides it's about time she beat Drew (Tequan Richmond) at checkers, and Julius (Terry Crews) goes behind Rochelle’s (Tichina Arnold) back and places a bet on the upcoming basketball game, not realizing it's his son - Chrissy the Black - calling the shots.

Episode 20 - Everybody Hates Dirty JokesAfter secretly listening to his parents' comedy albums, Chris (Tyler James Williams) tries out some dirty jokes on his classmates and discovers that making people laugh is the key to popularity, but his teacher has a different take on the situation. Rochelle (Tichina Arnold) decides the best way to get her mother, Maxine (guest star Loretta Devine), out of her business is to find her a man, and Drew (Tequan Richmond) begins getting unwanted attention from a girl in the neighborhood.

Episode 21 - Everybody Hates MathWith Chris' (Tyler James Williams) entire class counting on him to master algebra in time for a math competition, Rochelle (Tichina Arnold) takes it upon herself to tutor Chris. Unfortunately, Rochelle's teaching style doesn't do the trick, so Chris is forced to secretly meet with Rochelle's mother, Maxine (Loretta Devine), a former algebra teacher. Meanwhile, when Drew (Tequan Richmond) accidentally breaks Julius' (Terry Crews) favorite chair, Tonya (Imani Hakim) takes the fall for him, but it turns out the good deed comes with a hefty price tag attached.

Episode 22 - Everybody Hates The Last DayWith the end of the school year fast approaching, Chris (Tyler James Williams) decides to exact revenge on Caruso (Travis Flory) to pay him back for making Chris' life miserable for the past two years. Julius (Terry Crews) insists on fixing Mr. Omar's clogged sink himself rather than calling an expensive plumber, but he only ends up making the situation worse and is reported to the housing authority as a result. Drew (Tequan Richmond) can't resist wearing his cap and gown around the house and out to play, despite Rochelle's (Tichina Arnold) strict orders not to wear it before graduation.
