Episode 1 - Episode 1With her fifth and, thankfully, the last of her children off to University, Caroline Fairchild feels it's time to think of herself again and try to pick up her once-promising career. Her husband Donald thinks it's a good idea - he suggests 'trying that flower shop in Amersham - they're always looking for part-time people.' He's clearly forgotten how talented his wife was. Mind you, he's got other things on his mind- it looks as though he's about to be made MD of the Publishing House he works for.

Episode 2 - Episode 2A lot has happened to Donald Fairchild in the past week- he thinks he's lost his job when his company is taken over by a large American Publishing House- then, when he happily starts work with them as their Sales and Marketing Director, he comes face to face with his wife- his new Editorial Director! Can he be expected to work alongside the woman he's been married to for 25 years? It's just not on!

Episode 3 - Episode 3The strain's beginning to tell on Donald having to work alongside his wife and pretend he's never met her before! And now his wife's gone and given the Personnel Director their address and phone number as HERS! What's he going to tell them when they ask for his details? Wouldn't it be better for everyone if she just resigned?

Episode 4 - Episode 4Thankfully no one at Oasis Publishing has yet discovered the truth - the Caroline Fielding, the Editorial Director and Donald Fairchild, the Sales and Marketing Director, are, in fact, Mr. and Mrs. Fairchild, have been married for over 25 years and have a grown-up family. Another phone line has been installed in the house, Donald is 'borrowing' an address and all tracks are covered. However, domestic bliss is disturbed when Caroline finds her husband's ethics at work are not as high as she had expected. Is it possible to separate work from home?

Episode 5 - Episode 5Donald can't take much more of this - he loves his wife dearly but he finds it hard keeping home and work separate - especially since Caroline's return to work has been so successful! His authority is constantly being undermined. How can he get Caroline to leave work willingly without him suggesting it?

Episode 6 - Episode 6Donald is more than a little peeved when Edgar Frankland involves Caroline in negotiations with Shirley Leigh Sheffield, a best selling American writer. But when Caroline generously makes every effort to ensure that Donald is not excluded, he soon has good reason to wish he hadn't.

Episode 7 - Episode 7Caroline is relishing her newly regained career, especially when she sees her friend Olive stuck in the same domestic rut that she has just left. Donald and she have even got a new commission for Oasis Publishing together, a million English-Arabic dictionaries. Will they be the toast of the company - or won't they?
