Episode 1 - Episode 1

Doctor Shuichi (Takao Osawa) is the heir to a big hospital named Eiseikai Hospital in Tokyo. He now practices medicine in a village in Hokkaido, where he falls in love with Aya (Noriko Sakai), a nursing helper who is mute and deaf. But at the airport in Tokyo, where he flies to after proposing to Aya, he falls, trying to help a person on an escalator, and hits his head very hard. (C)NTV

  

Episode 2 - Episode 2

Aya heads to Tokyo, looking for Shuichi, who hasn't returned. Before long, she meets Shuichi's younger brother Takumi (Yutaka Takenouchi) by chance. Takumi takes Aya to Eiseikai Hospital, where she shockingly finds out Shuichi is suffering from amnesia. Determined to be by Shuichi's side, Aya starts working as a nursing attendant in the hospital. Episode 3 - Episode 3

Aya (Noriko Sakai) tries to encourage Shuichi (Takao Osawa), who is frustrated with his slow recovery. Meanwhile, Shoko (Naomi Hosokawa), whom Shuichi tried to help on the airport escalator, devotes herself to caring for him and starts developing feelings for him. One day, Aya takes Shuichi out of the hospital after hearing that he wants to go out. (C)NTV

  

Episode 4 - Episode 4

Shuichi works as a hospital administrator with his memory still gone. Aya helps him in any way she can, but Shuichi just shows irritation. One day, Yoshihiko (Masaki Kitahara), a patient who has tried to end his life, starts writhing with a terrible headache. When Aya can't find Takumi (Yutaka Takenouchi), who's supposed to be on the night shift, she runs to Seiichiro (Raita Ryu). (C)NTV

  

Episode 5 - Episode 5

Faced with a patient needing urgent care, Shuichi (Takao Osawa) regains his memory and pulls off amazing surgery. But the memory of the last two years is still missing, and he goes to Hokkaido with Shoko (Naomi Hosokawa) to see if he can remember anything. Meanwhile, Takumi (Yutaka Takenouchi), who was out when he was supposed to be on the night shift, receives severe criticism. (C)NTV

  

Episode 6 - Episode 6

To Aya's (Noriko Sakai) agony, Shoko tells her to back off for Shuichi's sake. Meanwhile, Shuichi is about to undergo brain surgery. Scheming a takeover of Eiseikai Hospital, Komori (Masatoh Ibu) appoints Takumi to perform the surgery, hoping for failure. Takumi finds out right before the surgery that Aya loves Shuichi. Episode 7 - Episode 7

The planning for Yoshihiko's (Masaki Kitahara) surgery is in progress. Scheming to bring down Seiichiro (Raita Ryu), Komori (Masatoh Ibu) tells Miwa (Minako Tanaka) to fail the surgery on purpose. Meanwhile, Aya decides to give Shuichi up out of her love for him and leaves the hospital to return to Hokkaido. (C)NTV

  

Episode 8 - Episode 8

Miwa causes the surgery to fail, which puts Yoshihiko in a vegetative state. Believing he was responsible for the surgical error, Takumi (Yutaka Takenouchi) leaves the hospital. Takako (Mitsuko Oka), the trustee of the Eiseikai Hospital in crisis, turns out to be Shoko's (Naomi Hosokawa) mother. Shuichi complies with Takako's request and gets engaged to Shoko. (C)NTV

  

Episode 9 - Episode 9

To sabotage the marriage plan of Shuichi (Takao Osawa) and Shoko (Naomi Hosokawa), Komori (Masato Ibu) questions Aya (Noriko Sakai) about her relationship with Shuichi. Aya denies it for Shuichi's sake. As Sonoko (Tomomi Nishimura) understands Aya's heart for Shuichi, she tells him about Aya. But the same night, Aya is put in a critical condition after being stabbed in her abdomen. (C)NTV

  

Episode 10 - Episode 10

Shuichi performs an emergency operation on Aya, who was stabbed by Ayumi (Hiromi Nakajima). During the surgery, Shuichi regains all the lost memories of Aya from his days in Hokkaido. However, Takumi (Yutaka Takenouchi) secretly moves Aya away while she's supposed to be under complete bed rest after surgery. Shuichi comes to see Takumi to tell him he will marry Aya. (C)NTV

  

Episode 11 - Episode 11

Shoko (Naomi Hosokawa) attempts to end her life after Shuichi (Takao Osawa) breaks the engagement off. Even still, Shuichi doesn't waver in his decision to marry Aya (Noriko Sakai) now that his memory is back. However, Shuichi is taken aback to find out that Shoko is pregnant. Eventually, feeling responsible for Shoko's pregnancy, Shuichi breaks up with Aya. (C)NTV

  

Episode 12 - Episode 12

Having realized that she is not loved by Shuichi after all, Shoko makes a decision to abort the baby. Luckily, Shuichi and Aya intervened at the last minute, preventing the worst. Shuichi and Shoko's wedding takes place. While the hospital workers chatter away about the spectacular ceremony, Sonoko (Tomomi Nishimura) finds a letter that Aya had left, which seems like a suicide note.
