Episode 1 - Welcome to the PenthouseEleven new design contestants aspire to be the next stars. For the first challenge of the season, they have 28 work hours and a budget of $15,000 to design the Vegas penthouse that will be their home for the competition.

Episode 2 - Dueling KitchensTwo designers face the chopping block as the teams have 28 hours of work time to make over a kitchen and dining room for two backyard neighbors.

Episode 3 - 99 Cent Ways to be CreativeCreativity is tested as the designers have a budget of $399 and must shop from a 99-cent store to design an entire room.

Episode 4 - I Do -- Vegas Style!The remaining six contestants must design a $10,000, Vegas-style wedding reception with 75 guests for one lucky couple in just one day.

Episode 5 - Designing for a CelebrityThe final four are challenged to re-design the home of special celebrity guest Wayne Newton with 24-hours of work time and a budget of $10,000. Then each contestant must show off their hosting skills when showing off their room.

Episode 6 - Deserving DesignsThe final three designers travel cross-country to create $10,000 room makeover for three deserving families. Two contestants will make it to the final where America votes for the winner.

Episode 7 - Island DreamsThe final two get a surprise visit from their loved ones before heading off to Hawaii for the last challenge. There they must design two of the best suites at a hotel undergoing renovations.

Episode 8 - America Decides!The cast reunites to relive the highs and lows before the next HGTV Design Star is revealed to a live audience.
