Season 7 Episode Guide

Episode 1 - Amends

In the Season Seven opener, a cop is shot in the line of duty and Detectives Goren and Eames race to the scene. Eames recognizes the victim: her husband's partner from the night he was murdered. It turns out that although the two murders were eight years apart, the only way to solve the current case is to reinvestigate her husband's murder as well.

  

Episode 2 - Seeds

When an OB/GYN is murdered, detectives Logan and Falacci first believe he is a victim of pro-life activists. Soon they realize the murder is the result of long-buried family secrets. Among the suspects: the doctor's own son and brother, and the nephew he never knew he had.

  

Episode 3 - Smile

A Park Avenue dentist's murder turns out to be connected to the death of one of his young patients. As Detectives Goren and Eames look into both murders, they follow a trail of counterfeit and poisoned mouthwash from the streets of Harlem to the FDA and Wall Street.

  

Episode 4 - Lonelyville

Writer Noah Brezner has awakened after a three-way with a blonde and a brunette, only to find the blonde dead, the brunette gone, and Noah with no idea what happened. Major Case is called in to investigate the death of a Jane Doe tied in Japanese bondage ropes, then strangled. Logan and Falacci are initially stumped by this lurid puzzle - their only clue to the girl's identity and demise is the pair of emeralds hanging from her ears.

  

Episode 5 - Depths

A diver of Middle Eastern descent washes ashore on Coney Island. His murder appears to be terror-related until detectives Goren and Eames look below the surface. They discover that the diver was part of a three-man crew of modern-day pirates hired to dig for hard-to-find treasure buried off-shore. Did the pirates turn on each other, or did they unearth proof of a long-buried scandal amidst the treasure?

  

Episode 6 - Courtship

A couples therapist is shot in her family home. When Detective Logan and his new partner Detective Falacci investigate, they initially suspect one of her patients. As they follow that trail, it doubles back to her husband and his work as a Brooklyn Divorce Court judge. It turns out the judge is for sale and his wife's murder was an act of revenge.

  

Episode 7 - Self-Made

When young literary up-and-comer Kira Danforth is tortured then murdered in her apartment, Goren and Eames untangle the victim's conflicted life, one torn between the posh literary scene she covets and the disenfranchised urban roots she seeks to transcend. The investigation uncovers equally deadly predators lurking in Kira's seemingly disparate worlds.

  

Episode 8 - Offense

Hours before she was to testify in an explosive rape case, Traci Kwon is found dead in a stairwell. When Logan and Falacci attempt to investigate the murder, they find themselves stonewalled by an entire college football team, whose members are facing prosecution for rape. However, when what Traci was going to say on the stand is called into question, Logan, Falacci and Ross have to delve into the motives of a powerful ADA and his ambitious wife who both have a lot to lose if the rape case doesn't go to trial.

  

Episode 9 - Untethered

A young prison inmate is killed in an upstate New York facility's mental ward. When Detective Goren's nephew, Donny, an inmate in the same prison, tells Goren he thinks the prisoner was murdered, Goren goes undercover. In order to determine if a crime was indeed committed, Goren manipulates his way into the same mental ward to either prove or refute his nephew's claims.

  

Episode 10 - Senseless

Logan and Falacci investigate the execution-style shooting of three college freshmen. When the utter senselessness of the crime hits Logan, he vows to apprehend the killers and bring them to justice. At a loss as to identifying any motive for the shooting, the detectives must rely on the testimony of one of the surviving victims in order to break the case.

  

Episode 11 - Purgatory

Still on leave from the force, Goren decides to tip the balance in his favor with an undercover operation.

  

Episode 12 - Contract

A local TV news anchor is blackmailed by TK Richmond, a tabloid gossip columnist. When the anchorman goes to the police and wears a wire, the car blows up and TK is killed, the anchorman hurt. In Plain Sight's Mary McCormack guest stars.

  

Episode 13 - Betrayed

Woody Sage (Scott Evans) and Avery Hubert (Kim Allen), both married to spouses twice their age, run away together and disappear into thin air leaving a jilted wife, who used to date Captain Ross (Eric Bogosian), to try and pick up the pieces. Goren (Vincent D'Onofrio) and Eames (Kathryn Erbe) track Woody's GPS system to the pawn shop and to an open lot in the Bronx where they discover Woody's license plate. The captain suggests dropping the case, but when Avery's parents, Sally (Laura Sameitz) and Frank (Bill Massof), report her missing, the detectives become wary as to why her husband, Roy Hubert (Eric Roberts) is the only one who has not reported the disappearance.

  

Episode 14 - Assassin

Bela Khan (Indira Varma) is a political martyr from Kashmir and appears to be the target of an assassination when her assistant Rosemary Shah (Jyotsna Du Ciel) takes the fall. Logan (Chris North) and Wheeler (Julianne Nicholson) investigate the shooter who is a cab driver, but are quickly diverted when a clandestine meeting takes place at Heathrow between Nik (Roberto Purvis), a hired assassin, and Hari, a matchmaker. Nik then arrives in the U.S. from Canada. Bela's bodyguard, Gindell (Rock Kohli) admits he was involved with Hari and the assassination attempt was supposed to be a miss, so Bela is discouraged from her political activities.

When a young father is shot while walking with his child in Central Park, Goren and Eames' investigation leads them to explore a world of insider trading for personal gain.

  

Episode 16 - Reunion

When the host of TV's "Rock 'n' Talk" Sylvia Rhodes (Joan Jett), is bludgeoned to death with a champagne bottle, Logan (Chris Noth) and Wheeler's (Julianne Nicholson) investigation delves into the seamy music world. The last known person to see Sylvia alive was her assistant Ava Reese (Denise Ramirez). Logan and Wheeler go to Ava's apartment and discover that Ava is a con artist - her real name is Bianca Lopez, and she recently did for identity theft and is dating ex con Ralph Cenzio (Ramon Fernandez).

  

Episode 17 - Vanishing Act

When celebrity illusionist Miles Stone disappears from his own stunt, Goren and Eames must explore the exclusive and very secretive world of magic and magicians in order to unravel the mystery. Christopher Lloyd guest stars.

  

Episode 18 - Ten Count

When Gabriel Gardela (Shaun Kevlin) the brother of Peter (Enver Gjokaj), who Logan (Chris Noth) used to mentor is shot outside a nightclub, Logan and Wheeler (Julianne Nicholson) investigate the world of amateur boxing. After a fight against the champ, Calvin Lewis (Damond Taylor), Gardela goes out to celebrate with histrainer, Gus Kovak (Miguel Ferrer), but his younger brother Peter (Enver Gjokaj) and girlfriend Kristina (Karolina Wydra) go out on their own to celebrate their anniversary. Gus leaves Gabriel at a bar and a very attractive girl flirts with him. Her thug boyfriend drags her outside, and Gabriel follows and ends up getting shot in the thigh.

  

Episode 19 - Legacy

A student's death at an elite private school leads Goren and Eames to investigate a world where grades mean everything, kids live their lives online, and everyone has something to hide.

  

Episode 20 - Neighborhood Watch

When the decapitated, stabbed, and mutilated body of Kyle Jones is found in Maspeth Creek, the entire community is a suspect when it becomes clear that he was not welcome in the neighborhood.

  

Episode 21 - Last Rites

Logan's faith in the system is put to the test when a priest asks him to reinvestigate a 16 year old triple homicide.

  

Episode 22 - Frame

Bobby is visited by the past when he finds a picture at his mother's grave indicating an old nemesis has returned, and the case only gets more complex when his brother and a mentor reappear.
